We were looking to move into the Gilbert area so that's why we chose Eternal Spring of Gilbert for my mom. We were having communication issues with them, and there were a lot of missed calls from each other, but we had finally got that all worked out. They changed personnel to make that happen and they added personnel to make the coverage better, which is good. I had one opportunity to physically bring in my mom's belongings and go into her room and it is quite nice. We have multiple types of visitations. Mainly, we go outside and tables are set up specifically for social distancing. You can only have one family at a time and it is regulated by appointment. We could also do video chats with my mom and we would do basically FaceTime. She now has an iPad so that we can do that routinely. We were very pleased with the facility, with the level of care, and the progression as well. My mom will eventually have to go into a memory care side of the facility there. We are hoping she doesn't have to but we're being very realistic about it. The food we had was tremendous, and it was very good. Of what we could see, the facility was very nice, very clean, and well kept. The carpet looked almost brand new, the courtyard was well groomed, and her room was immaculate and really nice. For what she is getting, we could not find that kind of care for the price point.

Eternal Spring of Gilbert is a relatively new place, so it's very contemporary, and beautiful. However, the food is horrible, and my friend is having a really hard time with the food. There are also some caregivers that are very good, and there are some that aren't. We've had meetings with the director, and they said they would fix everything, but they haven't really fixed anything yet. They post menus on the wall by the elevators about what's going to be served for the various meals, but it's in such a small font that she can't read. So, we asked if they could have menus at the table. They would say that it's a good idea, but then they don't do it, so not all the residents know what's available. They'll also say that there's two or three dishes available, and then she'll pick one, but when someone else will get something that was never stated, that she really wanted, she can't have that anymore because she's already ordered. So, she is not happy there, and even though it's beautiful, it's just too expensive to move now. They have happy hours once a week, but she can't go to it because she's too ill, so she hasn't really participated in anything. They also don't publish the activities for the residents to know. There's a small little tent in the front of the building, and sometimes activities are going on there, but if you're just in your room, you don't know that the activities are going on. It's a beautiful and clean place, but I would not recommend them.

Eternal Spring of Gilbert was very responsive/upfront with my inquiries. They did everything they could to get my dad there safely and securely, they worked wonderfully. So they earned my respect from the start. I haven't been able to get into his room, but he likes it very well. The place is very new and clean. From what I've seen of it, and what he tells me, it's well-kept and nice. The staff members have been great. Because of COVID I haven't been inside, but my dad seems to like it just fine. They have a new activities director which changed things a bit, and it seems that she's trying everything she can to do activities safely.

We moved my parents in to Eternal Spring after looking for 2 years. There was so many things that we looked for in an Assisted Living home for them. I can not stress enough how happy that my parents are and the relief that our family has. From the moment we entered, when we toured with our parents we were so impressed! The front lobby is so welcoming from the beautiful furnishings to the gorgeous staircase. As we continued our tour we saw the that they have 2 bistros, one on each floor, the home theatre, activities room, game room, library, private dining room available, hair salon and even a family kitchen. I love the idea of the family kitchen to be able to do cooking or baking with our mom. One of the important things we were looking for was a good memory care. We know that it is a very real option that we might need in the future. As with all the furnishings, it was inviting and comfortable. My dad said he felt like you were in your own living room. Their head chef is the best that I have seen. (When researching new assisted living options we would always visit over a meal time.) Residents will be eating 3 meals a day there and you want to make sure that the food is appetizing. The entire staff has an open door policy and always eager to listen to input from my parents or family. They have told us from the first day, “This is their home and we are guests in their home to assist them”. I just want the entire staff to know how much they are appreciated and the peace of mind that I personally have. Thank you, Sandy L.
