The Apartments, with Kitchen, Living room, Bedroom and Bathroom, are spacious with plenty of storage space, even a small walk in Closet. The Bathrooms are not all easy usable for Seniors, with many Commodes to low for Seniors. There is a very good security system in place. Staffing is here overnight too, sign in and out is for Resident;s and visitors too. Daytime Staff is here to, although not always for the Resident's. The Christmas Party, resident's Birthday parties and Ice cream party in the summer are always fun. Other activities are always posted and one can participate as wanted. Meals can be purchased Monday through Friday. Resident's rate them poorly and expensive for $7.00 Dollars a Meal. Parking can be very challenging, especially if one is Mobility impaired. Waiting for a reserved Parking place takes up to 3 Years, due to poor handling by the Management. With all the negativities in here, I personally would not want to live any place else and am glad to call it Home !

Having lived at Seton Haven for the past 8 years, I can say there have been many growing pains during the transition to Silvertree Residential. Many residents felt for their own best interest to move somewhere else. I will say I did not want to pack up and move, but I felt I had no choice. Now that I have moved, I can reflect on the experience. Many changes to the overall facility is taking place, especially with the apartments themselves and that for a senior having to pack up for several days was difficult for many. It has been almost a year and still not everything has been done. There is new staff now and they are in need of being more respectful, understanding and have a bad attitude toward residents. They do not appear to have their act together or maybe they are not the right people for that position. I have had many glares given to me and you can see on their faces to not disturb them. So, I didn't even though I needed to communicate with them about something. I gave them notice of my intent to move back in April and it got time for my recertification, and they were calling telling me my paperwork was ready to be picked up after I had already given notice of moving. They seem disorganized and get caught up in repetitious routine tasks. I always had good apartment reviews, yet they want to forfeit my rent because I did not conduct a walk through. The apartment was cleaned, stove and refrigerator cleaned even though renovations had not gotten to my apartment. Simply because I did not conduct a walk through, they want to keep my deposit of over $600. I certainly object to that tactic. I tried to get exit interview with Regina and it never happened. Almost two months from move out she calls asking about the keys. And they were hand given to Tony because she refused to take them from me, for whatever reason she may have had. Bottom line is they are disorganized and need more training, and public relations courses. If I do not get my check back, I will be seeking legal counsel.

My friend will be moving into Seton Haven. It looks like they're renovating their activity center. It's a large place. They have an outdoor garden, a very nice outdoor patio and new furniture. They're renovating the open areas that are available to every resident. They renovated some of the apartments. The apartments are respectable. I wouldn't call them luxurious. The public spaces that are available to everybody that lives there are very nice. The rooms have laminate flooring, a big window, so you could see outside well, good heating and air, a small kitchen, and a big enough bathroom. I looked at studios, where it's all one huge room. They had some with one bedroom. They had things in there if you had an emergency, but I wouldn't call it a nursing facility. Everybody is independent. Patty was awesome and very organized. She has a waiting list. There are people that want to get in there, and they can't get in there fast enough. It's an excellent location. They call it Midtown Montgomery, but it's the nice part of Midtown. The apartments are adequate, not large, not small, but open concept. The food was good. It's above what you'd expect. They had adequate choices. They have a dining area and it was rather nice. They had one inside and one outside. They had a patio. They'll stretch out the awning because Montgomery can get hot, but it's an electronic awning. Their indoor dining was quite nice. They have multiple activities, all kinds of board games, bingo, movies, and musical instruments, and people coming in and playing for the people. They take trips. They've got Zumba classes. They have a workout room. They go into the community. Some of the people have cars, but they'll all get in a van and they'll take cultural trips. There's plenty to do. They have an exercise room. They have one big room that is over 1000 square feet where they do yoga and Zumba. I saw exercise stuff like rails, bars, stretch cords, and stretch bands. They had some stationary bikes and a treadmill. The staff members really are organized, hospitable, sensitive, and caring.

The small apartments are big enough to be called a home but small enough to keep maintenance low. There were lots of activities for the residents. Cost is based on ability to pay, but no amenities are removed because of it. My mother lived there for 7 years. High security, beautiful grounds, and very kind staff made living there a pleasure. They have a really pretty courtyard that blooms with azaleas and other lovely flowers. The staff takes a great interest in their residents. There is a very nice dining area for residents to share as well. Cleaning services, hair appointments, musical entertainment all added up to a lovely living arrangement. I felt my mother was safe and taken care of. She was close to us and we were able to see her often. Residents and guests have to sign in and out, and all residents must call in to the front desk by mid morning. If not, staff will go check. I loved this most of all.
