My mother-in-law is here. It has been a good place for her. My parents lived here back in the 1990s, so I've been associated with them now for a second time with my mother-in-law. She's been there about five years now. She has a studio apartment and it's adequate for her. They have housekeeping, and they provide meals in the dining room. They have an activities director. They don't do personal laundry, but they do laundry sheets and towels and that goes along with the housekeeping. They have a maintenance person that takes care of little problems that come up. The chef has been there for 18 years. They provide pretty good meals and a balanced diet. She could get to the dining room in a wheelchair, but since her stroke, she coughs a lot and drools a lot. What they do, is a caregiver can come to the kitchen at a certain time, three times a day, and they will have a boxed lunch that you've selected from the menu and then you could return that reusable plastic or Tupperware box back to the kitchen. The caregiver is responsible for getting it since it's independent living. We are also responsible for doing her own laundry and we have to bathe her and everything. Normally if you're living there, you don't have that, but they allow us during this period. We'll probably move to an assisted living within the next month or two. I'm not looking forward to the move, because she's used to where she lives and she likes her room, but the caregiving is taking its toll. My parents lived there when they were my age.

The overall tour experience was great in Asher Point Independent Living of Montgomery. The community is very nice. Everything looks nice, clean, and tidy. The rooms looked a little bit small to me. I did not know that there would not be a kitchen, but there is a dining area on the second floor. That would take the place of having a stove in there, so everything was nice. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very thorough. With regard to activities, I saw a computer space, a library area, a game room upstairs, and a small workout area.

I toured Asher Point Independent Living of Montgomery. It was a nice community. It just wasn't what I was looking for an independent living, like I want my father on with a full kitchen and stuff. He wants to be independent, not dependent on anyone, but he likes the service that the building gives out. The staff was nice.

I chose an apartment here. Everything was good. They have all the conveniences that I would need, and I liked the fact that they prepare all the meals. Everything they have there is really great for elderly people. I really liked it. It's a nice place. I had lunch there the day I went to have the tour. I met the chef and all the ones in the kitchen. The food was delicious. I didn't find anything I didn't like out there. The staff was wonderful. I went there about 11:00, and I left there about 2:00 in the afternoon, so I was there for quite a while.

I liked it, the staff, and all the residents said they loved it, and they knew it was going to be where they die. They were playing cards, they were playing cornhole, and they go to the casino once a week. The room looked like a one-bedroom apartment. My friend is not that mobile, so that's all he needs. It had a nice landscape. I knew they had a bus. I just liked the whole thing, everybody was friendly, and everybody seemed happy there.

I visited and it was OK but it didn't meet my aunt's needs. The person who accommodated us during the tour was nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The apartments were actually a little bigger compared to the ones in the community we picked. They had different room sizes, and the dining hall looked fine. When I first stepped inside, I was surprised because they had live birds in a cage. It was nice. Overall, the community looked fine and the people there seemed happy. I saw some residents doing laundry as well.

My mother moved in. I like that the people are nice and the rooms are decent-sized. The meals are healthy and have good portions. They provide activities for the residents and have amenities like a library. It feels great to have my mother there.

Everything was excellent, very friendly, clean, and the apartments were very pretty. They served three meals a day and had crafts, Netflix that you can go and watch together, barber shop, and hair studio. Everything was clean and spotless. The studio was perfect, freshly painted, really pretty, and had windows that you could look out of. It was very nice. The staff was excellent. I was greeted by everyone that I met and saw there.

I visited and they had a bus, and once a day, they would take everybody to Wal-Mart or shopping to give them a chance to go out. Everybody had church on Sundays. It was perfect. I loved that place. We were looking at a one-bedroom with a living room and kitchen. It would fit my mother perfectly and hold a fold-out sofa, a couple of chairs, a desk, and a couple stand tables, which was all she would need. We would have to down-size her to a regular bed instead of her king-sized bed. They were OK with my mom having a dachshund. The room that we had chosen for her had an outside door that led to a little grassy area.

I visited and their rooms were nice. In fact, they had several sizes of rooms. It was a three-storey facility with elevators and they were nice. The staff was very nice. It was just very hustle-bustle and that was the main thing that really turned us off because I felt that there was too much activity all the time for my mother-in-law. It would be too much confusion for her. The dining area there was very nice because it was open in the center and it's very airy. It's on the second level.

I toured 2 or 3 places but this is the most convenient for me. What I like most about this place is it's near Eastdale Mall. And they have transportation when you go to different places. They've got a wonderful staff as well. Food is excellent. They have a lot of activities – all types of games, do different travelling and that kind of stuff. I guess they have a standard room, I didn't pay too much attention to that.

I was here for about a year. I was probably at one of the largest room that they had because I had 3 wheelchairs, so it was very comfortable. I had my own little stove, refrigerator, and microwave. It was a very nice place. One of the best.

This is an excellent home for independent living. The staff is very courteous and helpful. When I am ready to make a change this is one of my first considerations. Three meals per day are provided and the food is excellent
