The agency has sent a caregiver who works with me pretty well. I like the service that the agency provides, which helps me.

It helps to have the care when they show up. The agency doesn't always let me know that a caregiver is not coming. They don't return my calls promptly. Some caregivers really want to work and others don't.

The caregiver puts in a lot of effort. But my son still has to do a lot. I like the operations manager. We discussed everything and got everything all figured out.

The caregivers helped her on the housekeeping. The first time I dealt with Brightstar was from the hospital. After I was hospitalized, I looked for help. I would recommend as they were quick to respond, and the help was sufficient.

They have helped the most by allowing me to work while they care for my mom. Some of the staff do not have reliable transportation so that was a barrier. Coming and going was delayed.

For my daily life, it was very frustrating because of the lack of communication. They were supposed to provide overnight care for her, and there were multiple things that did not happen. It was night and day difference between the two different locations in our area. Their top need would be communication needed and adjusted properly. This location did very little for her.

I wouldn't be able to handle morning and nights without them. It gives me relief from the help I get from them. I am not excited about the one that comes on Monday. It seems to me that she rushes through the whole thing. She is not as thorough as my other caregiver.

They really treated him like a person, had a conversation with him, they provided things that I asked them to provide and would listen to my dad if he didn't want something. I like the communication and I liked the caregivers that came to my dad.

Debra helped my father stay in his assisted living home until he passed. That meant a lot to us, it allowed us to avoid putting him in a nursing home at the end of his life. My dad lived in a supported living environment, but he needed extra help at the end of his life. Our BrightStar care nurse did everything he needed, she was wonderful.

Right now, it is a big help and there is not anything at the moment they could do to make my life easier. I would want them to improve on being more consistent on the people they send so it is not a different person every day.

I have never had respite help, so it has been a big blessing that I can come and go with my other son and know she is being taken care of. They are very punctual, and the woman that does the scheduling reaches out to me quickly. They have been very efficient.

She's not too happy having someone take care of her. They could explain what their abilities are, so we could better understand what help they can give. They seem to be interested. Communication is fair. I'd like to be able to get more information about certain questions I have.

This company was hired to provide respite care for my elderly father, so my mom could have a break. We have found BrightStar to be Unreliable, poorly trained and no communication between employees, staff and clients. My elderly parents have been working with BrightStar out of Pewaukee for over 2 months. The first 2 weeks they had a wonderful caregiver. Then it was excuses for the next 3 weeks and no one showed. Then they had a barely trained girl show up, late, couldn’t find the address. My mom makes appointments during these scheduled times so someone is at home with my elderly father. While my mom was at her appointment, my dad told the caregiver she could leave…so she did! Leaving my dad alone! The next caregiver that showed up came by Uber. She couldn’t get a ride back, she was on her phone most of the time. Finally my mother had to drive her back to the Pewaukee office. They had a few more no shows. Then one who came, but was allergic to dogs! Yes, my parents have a dog! Today (1/4/22) was ANOTHER no show. Even though my mother called and talked to someone last week AND again yesterday! And on top of that, no one called my mom to let her know until the end of the day! Perhaps it is just this office, but I would tell you to try someone else! This business is unacceptable on many levels!

They were able to help my dad with his needs that other care facilities were not able to handle. There's so much I liked. I was very impressed on how they actually treated my father as though he was family. It was more than just a nursing care that they gave him. It was a more personal involvement with him which made him fall in love with the nurses and vice versa.

They've kept the person that I have here, rather than changing the person. At times, the person who comes to help is sick. Either the agency doesn't know who to send or the people don't have experience. I get to talk to the CEO about my needs.

It seemed like they didn't know what to do, which made me lose hours of my respite time in training the caregivers on what to do. I was doing too much work. I would have liked the caregivers to be on time, to be aware of the plan of care, to not be on their phones, and to have a level of an experience. I wish they could have give us consistent caregivers for the hours we had on Friday.

I can take a shower and not worry that I fall down. I have a hard time washing myself, so it is essential. The nature of this business is that people change jobs, locations, and schooling, so I get caregivers of all ages. I have had young people, which was difficult because some are better than others.

BrightStar Care is a good company, but they need to improve their communication. The services I am receiving could have a greater impact on my life if BrightStar Care would improve their communication. The caregivers need better attitudes and work ethic, and they should always come in with a smile.
