For my parent's daily lives its rated average. They could have more proactive angels that pay attention. When we use them, they tend to focus on my mom more. It's not negligence but my mom is focused on more than my dad. It provides respite for people who are the main caregivers.

Once my mom bonds with a caregiver it goes really well. Because she has dementia it may take a time or two, but once she has a bond she has a much better experience. They are very responsive. If something is not working they'll work with you to get it figure out.

We were in a bind when the pandemic started and they really helped us get through. I think that early on they didn't get down to the same person every day and some of them had a problem with the time where she couldn't come at 9:00 and came at 9:30 without an explanation.

When one of the gals left, I had her a short time. This particular manager who I had the interview with when we first met came to the house and told me to give her time to find the right person. Instead of just pushing someone on me, she found the right person which did not take long. I have been using them for about two years and I am very fortunate that they have been sent my way, and that is due to one of the office managers. She know me very well and how to send a caregiver, and it has been wonderful.

I had a spinal operation and had to go the the hospital and rehab. When I came home, I had to have the agency that I had been using. The lady came for six hours each day, and then the office found a second person to take care of me from 4 to 8 to help with dinner. It makes my life so much easier. The two ladies that I have are absolutely outstanding, and the recruiter for this particular office is wonderful.

We were pinned up and needed someone to help so that my wife could go to work. She was able to go to work while he was getting care. He was home doing hospice. It was very, very helpful. I call them and they were very easy to deal with and very accommodating. It was a difficult time for us and we needed some help. Everyone but one was wonderful. I had a certain caregiver who was was excellent. Overall, I am very satisfied. Overall, the caregiver were wonderful. One caregiver was very vocal about their political and racial opinions. I was very uncomfortable, they would never shut up. They gave me decent care, but I would never want this person to be in my home again. This person was disgusting, I was very intimidated by this person.

We interviewed one other agency before meeting the care coordinators from Manassas, VA. After our meeting with two of care coordinators, my wife and I turned and said to each other at the same time, "they are the ones". It was no surprise therefore, to find the care from the CNAs they hired to be very caring and compassionate over the course of the 7-month service period before my sister moved to an assisted living facility. Although the care from the CNAs is most important, we think the responsible management and coordination provided from the staff is as equally critical. We were especially impressed by the time and effort the management staff took to meet us, introduce the new caregivers, and the patience they showed when we requested frequent changes to the schedule based on the needs of our sister. We never had to worry about them contacting us if a CNA was sick or late, and they were always ready and willing to find a replacement. One small service provided that the other agency did not was processing invoices for long-term care insurance reimbursement on a weekly basis at no charge. Although this was a minor benefit, it demonstrated an attention to detail we were not expecting, but very grateful for as it was one less thing we needed to worry about. We do not think we would have been able to keep our sister home for all those months without the support and care from Visiting Angels. They gave us the break we needed even it was just a few hours each day. We will be forever grateful.

Visiting Angels are doing the 24/7 coverage for my dad and I have no complaints. I would absolutely recommend this agency. They have been wonderful and very patient. They have been able to manage the entire week with just four people as suppose to changing people every two hours. It's nice because everybody has a routine. The visiting angel people do 12-hour shift. He has a good relationship with the caregivers and my dad trusts them. They got some really good people working with my dad.
