I couldn't do it without my caregiver. I would recommend Visiting Angels because they are friendly.

It helps with the daily duties. My mother loves the company. She gets assistance with her personal care and grooming.

They have helped the most by freeing us up to do our jobs. My wife and I had to stop working when he first needed help, but now that we have Visiting Angels, we can go back to work. The communication is really good and the quality of care has been good.

She needs a lot of care so they help her get up with toileting. They help her with showers and getting changed. They help with meals and laundry and light housekeeping. I like that they help keep her safe. I like that it seems to be a small business and I can reach them 24 hours.

She couldn't do what we needed her to do. When they first sent someone else, she was a sitter and not a caregiver.

They helped the most by being very flexible and would let us have Ronda a little more time or a little less. I liked that Ronda was great for us, and she was not too hot or not too cold.

Even though there were some challenges with caregivers showing up for shifts, they communicated really well with us. I like that they have been able to provide consistency for the most part.

I did not care for Visiting Angels Austin except for one person we have there. I did not care for it because it was very disorganized and didn't have enough people, and the people they have were not well-trained except for that one caregiver. The services they were supposed to provide my mom they didn't do, except for this one person who would change the bed, make the bed, clean up around, and do the dishes. Their billing was fine, they sent us an invoice and we paid it. We had them for a couple of months. I wouldn't recommend them.

I would urge anyone needing a sitter or care giver for the elderly NOT TO USE Visiting Angels. The first sitter they sent out would not let the Brookdale facility staff change the wet sheets that my mother was sleeping in and told the Brookdale staff to leave her alone and let her sleep. She was in wet sheets for about 2 hours. The second sitter they sent out slept in my mother's bed and left mother to sleep on the love seat. When she left in the morning, she left mother on the love seat and her wheel chair half way across the room. So Mom fell when trying to walk across the room to get to her wheel chair. These people are NOT GOOD CARE GIVERS.
