It's helped a lot and freed me up considerably to take care of other things. Because of the scheduling, I seem to have three girls who are interchangeable, and every once in a while they'll take a vacation and send someone new. They would call me in the beginning to let me know someone new was coming, and last time they didn't. I don't always know who the fill-in is going to be and if it's going to be someone new, I want to be there.

I needed someone mainly because of shopping, doctor's appointments, and running errands. I have no idea if Linda is unreliable or if it was a scheduling issue. So far, she is the best and knows what she's doing. I need my bills on time because it would be a big help to balance my checkbook. I'm not sure when the money will be taken out. I was told 2 weeks. I don't get the bills. I'm assuming they're taking out the money. I've only received one bill and I really would want to know how I'm billed so I don't overdraft my checkbook. My caregiver I liked didn't come and no one told me anything. I'd like to have the continuity of one person who knows what they're doing.

They come in, and unless we are very specific about what we do, they'll just sit there and talk and won't do much as to helping around the house. My wife is hesitant to ask for their help and resents them because she has Alzheimer's. I have to have more understanding of what the training is like. The caregivers are very nice, but they are very hesitant to take the lead for their duties. We've tried a list, but they don't follow up on it.

They make the experience positive because recently, the most important thing is they fixed the phone system, so it would be time to make the phone call to clock in, and now it comes through on my texts that tell you if I forgot to clock in or out. That's made a big difference. I would recommend them because we just like working with them. They are really easy to work with, detailed, and organized.

As far as, my caregiver, I am extremely happy with my caregiver. They could pay the people better instead of the absolute minimum. Visiting Angels pays her 9. At one point, they were taking money out of her check.
