I'm using Right at Home Northampton County for my mother. It has been good. The caregivers have been good, too. They provide dressing, transfers, and bathing assistance. Scheduling and billing are fair. One thing I like about them that many of the agencies don't have is that they have a three-hour minimum and not a four-hour minimum. After someone has come here and done all their responsibilities as far as my mother's concern, I couldn't see what they would do for the other hours, so I went with them because they have a three-hour minimum and not four.

My brother is using Right at Home Northampton County. They're coming out twice a week for two hours a day now. I called them, and the owner called me right back. He just seemed nice over the phone, and he was very interested in helping veterans. He made a good impression on me just by talking to him on the phone. There is a lady who comes Tuesdays and Thursdays, and she's helping him kind of organize his apartment and clean up because he doesn't do any cleaning. My brother just wakes up, watches TV, makes coffee, eats something, barely washes his dishes, doesn't even recharge his phone, then watches TV all day. He doesn't do anything, so this person is motivating him to be more active, clean up his apartment, and do the right thing. We're in the third week. The caregiver is very nice, very knowledgeable, caring, and assertive, because sometimes in these situations, you have to be somewhat assertive to get the person to do what they need to do. She's not mean or anything, but she's got the right amount of assertiveness, and he likes her. She's very pleasant. He likes the idea that somebody comes there and tells him what to do, because he doesn't know how to do it himself. The owner bills me once a week and sends it in the mail. Scheduling is fine because my brother is not a morning person, so this lady can come in the afternoon, and it works out really well. They're doing everything we ask them to do in a pleasant way. I don't have any problems with them or any complaints.

We chose Right at Home Northampton County for my dad because theyre the only one we could get for an hour at a time. Sometimes some of the girls dont show up, but we know which girls they are so we just tell them we dont want them anymore. The caregivers have been showing up, and theyre very helpful, so we got that straightened out. In the morning, they help my dad get out of bed, wash him up and get him into his chair, and they get his breakfast for him. They also do whatever else my mom needs from then, then at night they get my dad back to bed.

Nurse Beth was very compassionate and professional. Therapists, Tracey and Charmaine were very instructional and helpful with my physical therapy. I had these ladies last year and I was very glad that they returned.

we had used their services and finally decided to part ways , the office staff has been rude and condescending , I believe the owner is oblivious on how the office staff treats the clients , and the employees ..never had the same people except for 1 person , the owner should send out or call on clients that have left and find a fix . no call no show never had a back up plan >> again you get what you pay for ? we learned and have since moved on to a better company provider for our family needs ..

Right at Home Northampton County is absolutely great. The caregiver is great, and my mother loves her. She has helped significantly already, and my mother has gone on a 180 degree turnaround with the way she's been taken care of. My mother was lethargic -- no ambition and wouldn't even stay awake -- but the girl they sent out was just fantastic with my mother. My mom is just doing so much betterm and I really believe it's because of the caregiver. She basically makes sure my mom is being taken care of.

I am alone and cannot climb the steps. Brooke is the finest helper. She helps me clean, go shopping, and even listens to my stories. I really don't know what I would do without her. Don't take Brooke from me. She is wonderful. I love her.

This organization is great. I am an 83 year old widow, and I cannot drive, nor am I in the best of health either. They take me to doctors, they take me shopping, and they help clean my house. They are all polite and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help like I do.

We are very happy with the service provided by Right At Home. Even in the months at the beginning when our caregiver would change, we were quite satisfied. Now that we have our care giver on a regular basis, we cant say too much in praising her work, but also the extra mile she goes on many occasions. We also appreciate the openess of other staff members.

DO NOT RISK YOUR PARENT'S SAFETY WITH THIS COMPANY. I had used Right at Home several years ago and was very satisfied BUT I AM COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED. In 3 weeks there have been 5 missed shifts with no replacement. This left us scrambling to come drom over 30 minutes away and care for my mother. We are told by aides that they are told to report to other home patients but the office tells us the aide called in sick. The aides are told to use the home phone to call in to a time clock to check in and check out of a residence. This evening , I waited for 45 minutes past the start of the shift for an new aide scheduled at my mothers house. (I drove out there to orient her to my mothers routine). When I called the office to ask where the aide was they were not even aware she had not shown for work!! Shouldn't they have called to advise me, as my mothers guardian, that the aide was late or was missing?? The response from the company representative was 'I am just the on call person.' Yes the owner comes to meet you and your parent, and with much sincerity, promises top notch care, gets your parents signature on a service contract. But it is false sincerity. The owner is never in the office and does not take responsibility for day to day operations and does not attempt to fix existing problems. The office staff is disorganized and less than polite and totally unprofessional. It is now 1 hour since I called the office (2 hours past start if shift) I have received no call back from company representative. What if i had not been here?, Now I understand why the hospital did not have them listed as an area provider for elder care services. DON'T RISK YOUR PARENTS SAFETY WITH THIS COMPANY.

I am very new to the professional care giving business. I am currently giving care to my 89 yr. old mother and been for what a consider a substantial period of time. Mom is reasonably healthy and ambulatory at the present time. Myself and my older brother have come to the conclusion it is getting to require knowledge and experience beyond what I am capable of giving. We always had someone come to the house and give Mom an annual flu shot. For whatever reason this person can no longer offer this any longer. So I began my search for a new and capable company or individual to to accomplish this. I began searching on line of course, having no clue how or what criteria you use to search. I ended up signing up with Caring .com (what proved to be an unending source of information and guidance) and am very pleased so far that I did. I was contacted by a numerous number of businesses and services readily available to me. i was very pleased with the way they understood my needs and were more than willing to help any way they could. I was contacted personally by telephone by Ron the owner of Right at Home of Easton, Pennsylvania. He listened to what I needed (as well well as answered any questions about elderly care giving in general) and me very comfortable with my situation. He explained to me his company in fact did not offer the in home flu shot I needed for Mom but went ahead and referred me to a company which he felt could help me. He gave the phone number as well as the name of the person within that organization who felt was best suited to help me. He had nothing to benefit by doing this and it was greatly appreciated by me. I contacted this person and she set me straight as to how to proceed exactly. I am now much better informed to ask both pertinent and intelligent questions. From all of this I am sure when I am ready to enlist the services Right at Home has to offer and can provide, I am positive they will be the company best equipped as well as the people I wish to deal with and trust to help Mom and the only company at this juncture I care to deal with. I hope this is not too "long winded" but I assure you there can be no one more careful or skeptical than myself when it comes to taking care of Mom. Thank you, Mike Langton
