There are some people who are better suited to handle her negative inclinations and gently get her to do what she needs to do. "We had the service of Right at Home, run by Dan B., from early February through the middle of May. The service, in my mind, was exemplary. It was absolutely phenomenal. Dan and all of his people, some were better than others, but all of them were very caring for my dad and his partner. They went above and beyond in terms of providing for my dad's need. They would stop and get certain groceries or things that he liked on their way to to stay with him. Surely we paid a dear price for the service, but we got phenomenal service from every one of them. There's Weng, Jhing, Cecille, Lee, Marissa, Teeane, and Teresita. If I missed anybody who was assigned to my dad who I did not name, it's only because of a lack of memory on my part. But they're all phenomenal, there's nobody I would have purposely excluded for any reason. They were all very kind and compassionate. My dad is a difficult person to put up with at 94 years old, and they were very kind to him. Also, Dan B. was very caring and and concerned. He would also stop by on occasion just to visit, just to see how things were going. He'd bring a cheesecake or a milkshake. At the end, I asked him to go ahead and put it on our bill, but he made all the arrangements to get Dad a mobile walker that he could sit down on and lock the wheels. And that was something my dad was seriously needing when he made his transition into the assisted living facility. Their communication was excellent, too. I would get telephone calls and emails and text messages advising me of Dad's state of mind, his condition, and his needs. Not just Dan, but each of of the caregivers as well; they very communicative. They also followed through. I've had no experience other than this with any kind of in-home caregivers. I had some some concerns, but I was put at ease very quickly by how they conducted themselves. Their paperwork was good, and I had no concerns about any aspect of their operation. I'm very quick to criticize if criticism is required or necessary, but I'm also quick to to praise when praise is worthy. And in this case, it definitely was."

"I hired Comforcare Senior Services. They had a very harsh management team and they had problems staffing occasionally. I had care for my father eight to ten hours a day and Mom was at home on hospice. My brother who was helping them left to go to the store, and my mom called me and said the caregiver wouldn't give her a glass of water because the caregiver doesn't work for her. I called the agency and talked to the manager and they said they can't do that because they had to do an assessment on Mom and get the paperwork in place first. I had to fire them because of the way they handled it. We had a wonderful caregiver, and it was very sad to lose her. She's a CNA. The billing and the paperwork were good. They helped with all the ADLs, transferring, helping with the bathroom, eating, dressing, and bathing, and we had a PT working with the caregivers."
