Sherwood Lodge was my mother-in-law's home for just over three months. It exceeded every single expectation my husband and I had. The facility itself is warm and welcoming, quiet and charming. It is located in a lovely residential area in Williams Bay, WI, surrounded by trees and it is a short walk to Geneva Lake. The staff is unbelievable in terms of their dedication and the loving, personal attention they provided to mom, who was extremely unhappy to be leaving her 5000 sf home on five acres. Mom quickly became extremely fond of each and every person who worked there, particularly Charles, who checked in on her quite often just to brighten her day. Mom weighed 70 pounds when she first arrived at Sherwood Lodge and by the time she moved to ND to be closer to her sister, she weighed 78 pounds because she was obviously THRIVING in her new home. Mom raved about the food Chef David prepared. The kindness that the Activities Director, Michelle, and also Kim, the Director of Sherwood Lodge, showed to my mother-in-law and to my husband and I will never be forgotten. Sherwood Lodge went out of their way to connect mom with people they thought she might form friendships with--and indeed she did! She regularly ate dinner with two wonderful ladies whose company she enjoyed greatly. Mom loved to play the organ alongside another friend she made. Sherwood Lodge also allowed mom to bring her ailing dog to her apartment with her and when her dog had to be put down, which was incredibly traumatic for my mom, she came home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a card signed by all the staff with messages of love and support, which meant the world to her. Mom's apartment itself was fabulous! She had a first-floor, corner apartment with 850 sf of living space and tons of windows. She particularly loved having a washer and dryer in her apartment. She enjoyed two bedrooms with closets, a full kitchen with all appliances, a spacious living room, and an enormous bathroom with plenty of storage and a large walk-in shower which included a built-in seat and handheld showerhead for her safe use. Although mom didn't participate in most of the activities offered because of lack of interest, the community had an activities center, a movie theater, a chapel, and regular outings for the residents to go shopping with transportation provided. Mom DID love the beauty salon! Sherwood Lodge was beautifully decorated for every holiday which I'm certain the residents enjoyed. There is a lovely two-way fireplace that greets you as soon as you walk through the doors. It is flanked by a seating area on the opposite side where residents would often gather to enjoy one another's company. There's also a small table in that area that's always filled with fresh-baked goodies and coffee for the residents and visitors to enjoy. I simply cannot stress enough that despite all the wonderful amenities, the cleanliness, and the quiet location, the PEOPLE are what make Sherwood Lodge so outstanding. Now that mom has relocated to another facility in ND, all she does is lament that she never should have left Sherwood Lodge. She misses her friends and the staff greatly. Thank you for leaving my mother-in-law with such fond memories and for making an extremely difficult transition in her life a positive one. God bless you all. Cyndi Fowler

Atrium Senior Living of Williams Bay at Sherwood Lodge was very nice but also very expensive. They have nice large rooms and nice amenities. The rooms were very laid out. The staff was very friendly and visible. The dining area was very nice and there was a lot of room. It was also well laid out. They had a chapel, an activity room, lounge, and exercise room. It was very adequate.

Atrium Senior Living of Williams Bay at Sherwood Lodge is wonderful and Mom loves it. They have all the amenities and more than she is capable of using. The staff is very engaging. I like the food. They have many activities. Given that the people have limited mobility, they do a good job. I have not run into anybody that hasn't been accommodating. They have a beautiful theater room that shows movies at least once or twice a day. The people can use their own video equipment. If you like to play video games, you can do it on the big screen. They have a computer in the lobby if you don't have one in your apartment. It's a beautiful building. It looks like a ski lodge.

Atrium Senior Living was excellent and our top alternative if my mom was going to move to the Williams Bay area. The place was beautiful and looked almost new, but there wasn't much grounds or location. Nevertheless, the care was amazing. The facilities were new. The rooms were nice, big, and a reasonable price. There were different physical activities and some movies. The food looked good, too. The staff members were very helpful and very personable. If we were to make a move, Atrium Senior Living is where we'll go.

I am so happy that my mom is at Atrium, the staff is so caring and kind. My mom just loves it, she is laughing and having a good time. The food is wonderful and they have so many options with a fresh salad bar every day. They have bands and singers pay for the residents and have their activities they all really enjoy. This place feels like a hotel with an exercise room, a nice salon. They have an actual movie theatre its amazing. The best choice for my mom.
