I recently helped my Aunt relocate to Heritage House. My Aunt had been in touch at events with Paula for awhile, but my Aunt wasn't ready to move. Once my Aunt made the decision to move, Paula did everything she could to make it as quick and smooth as possible. The rooms are nice and are updated, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My Aunt is enjoying all of the crafts and activities that HH has for the residents. She can have a manicure or haircut without having to leave the building. The building is safe and secure for the residents. I was very impressed with Paula and her energy to get my Aunt where she needed to be. I highly recommend Heritage House, working with Paula and the rest of the staff.

We toured the Heritage House of Portage. We chose it for my mom because of the rapport that the person gave when we were there and the information that she gave us, answering any questions. We were pleased with everything we saw and heard. They have a lot of activities. Plus, the room for one person is very adequate. The doctor recommended it also.

We toured Heritage House of Portage Assisted Living for my mother. This place was wonderful. From the moment we stepped foot in the place, the atmosphere was welcoming. Paula has been wonderful. I was very impressed that she knew every single resident and every single worker's name. It was just amazing. The activities that they had lined up for the residents were wonderful. If I ever had to be in an assisted living facility, I'd want to go to this place. My sister and I were very, very impressed. I highly recommend it. The apartment was nice. It had a nice size. There was a little kitchenette and a nice little living room. And then there was a good size bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The sink wasn't like a sink with a cabinet. It was just a sink hanging on the wall, but they do that so that if you're in a wheelchair, you can roll right up to the sink. Everything was wheelchair and handicapped-accessible in every single room. My mother would have had a beautiful view out of the back at the end of the hall with two other ladies of her same age. Paula knows how to place people. She was very considerate.

I went to Heritage House of Portage Assisted Living. The facility looked nice. The thing that would probably disqualify them for me is that it's mostly for single adults and not for couples. Everything looked really nice, but they don't really have accommodations for couples. What I saw in the beginning was really nice. I saw members out playing cards and things like that, and it looked like they're enjoying themselves. It looked very clean and very nice.

Heritage House of Portage Assisted Living was very nice and comfortable. They had a nice dining room. The rooms were nice. It looks like a nice place to stay. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice. They do everything good there. The staff does a pretty good job, too. They've got a big room with a piano, a beauty shop, a big crafts room, and a big common room. It's just a nice area. It just looked comfortable in there. They sing and they do crafty stuff. The food was good, and they had a different menu every day.

We actually attended one of the activities in Heritage House of Portage Assisted Living. They had a jazz band out in front with a tent, had all of the people, and then they had a tour of the facility after that. So it was kind of different, but it was still so neat. The only reason that it isn't the favorite one is because it's farther away. They had apartments that had a patio, some of the inner ones didn't have patios, but they had windows. These are all one-bedrooms. They had a movie theater, meeting rooms, and a family room where you could have your own party or birthday party or whatever. The facility is older.

My mother has lived here for 10 years! I could not have asked for a better facility to put my loved one! The staff and administration have been wonderful! My mother has so many friends there and keeps busy. I have regularly visited the facility and i can tell you there has NEVER been any issue with sewage leaking, they had leaking water pipes in the ceiling and they were fixed promptly. I highly recommend it here if you are looking for a great place to have your family member call "Home."

The building is in disrepair. Has had sewage leaking in building. (Now repaired) Administrators are hostile and angry and have apparently falsified state required records.

This is a beautiful facility! My mother has never been so happy! The staff is very friendly and helpful and make our family feel welcome every time. The cost is not bad and was even lower than the rates of others. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a wonderful place for their loved one to call home.

The people at Heritage were wonderful. They went out of their way the same morning that I was calling to find a place. One of the administrators stopped what she was doing, and met me to give me a tour. My mother in-law moved there six weeks ago, she's adjusted pretty good so far, and they've got her involved in some of the activities. There's something going on every day. Around 60 residents live there and we've met a bunch of them, and nobody has said anything negative. The food looks good, the service is good, and the housecleaning and everything is just really wonderful.
