This facility is one of the best that my family has experienced for my dad and he has been to many facilities in the past few years. The staff communicates with me on everything regarding my father. He has been there for over a year and he calls this place home. The new administrator is passionate at what she does and the residents love her like family. She goes above and beyond for their needs and never turns her head. She is one of the best assets this facility has. She has a huge heart and she leads by example for the rest of her staff. Speaking of the staff, they all communicate well and care about the residents so much! This facility feels welcoming, the food is delicious with many options and if you didn’t want what was being served, they would make you a sandwich or soup. They do activities with all the residents, games to watching a movie and eating popcorn. This facility is clean and smells great! Always greeted with a smile, and always doing improvements to make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this facility. Thank you, Residence’s on Forest Lane!

The facility looks amazing when moving a family member in, it all changes after you move them in. I had moved my mother in right as the old administrator was leaving. The old administrator made many promises and made the facility sound great. As soon as the newer administrator came in, we had nothing but problems. I had issues with food servings. My mother called me crying complaining of the serving sizes of food they received. I brought this up to staff and the administrator multiple times, nothing was done. Another issue I ran in to is I would visit my mom during the day, and staff would be sleeping at the charting tables. This was another issue I brought up to the administrator and nothing was done. Then, there was a period of time that everything was going really well when another employee stepped in to help the administrator. Then, the administrator hired “younger” employees again and everything once again went downhill from there. My mom started declining tremendously. Family was in often to visit mom and nothing but complaints from every member. Family was complaining that they would sit there for hours and mom would be soaked and staff wouldn’t even check on her. They would press her pendant and none of the staff would come until someone came and got the staff members from sitting outside on their cellular devices. Eventually, we moved our mom out due to everything going on at this facility. This facility has great potential with the correct people running it. I really hope to be able to recommend this facility in the future, but as of right now that isn’t possible.

I was quite impressed that Residences on Forest Lane had a full range of services, like blood draws and certain doctors who come in when required. They had a lot of physical fitness activites. You can also get your haircut there. However, I wasn't happy with the facility because even though there was an appointment set up, they didn't know I was coming. I was there for five to ten minutes before somebody even approached me and said, "Can I help you?" Luckily, the head of nursing walked me through the facility. Unfortunately I saw people sitting there not being actively engaged in anything. It was very clean, but you could tell it was an older facility. I met a couple of people who were very nice.

I found a really nice place for my brother. The Residences on Forest Lane has such a nice atmosphere, it's like you're at home. The ones that I met seemed to be happy. The rooms are nicely sized. They have their own bathroom with a shower, and they've got a little refrigerator. The Montello School is right across the street, and a nursing home is right next door. It's got a nice yard, a pond, a library, and a fireplace.
