My friend's grandmother, after several falls in her own home, moved to KindredHearts about three years ago. Overall, her grandmother seems to be happy in the home. She is sad to be living away from her own house, but it is a great help that KindredHearts allows her to have her cat in her room. Though, aside from her grandmother's personal comfort, her healthcare has been less than perfect. The assisted living staff sometimes fails to call her grandmothers health Power of Attorney (my friend's mother) after her grandmother falls. The center is also understaffed, which results in less-than-perfect care; my friend's grandmother was given the wrong medication for an entire day. The center did take complete responsibility, though, and there have been no other incidents. Overall, my friend's grandmother seems happy enough in this center, but there are probably other, more expensive, places that would give much better care.
