Heritage at Deer Creek is a very pretty community. The staff is nice. It's clean and my mother-in-law just appears to be well taken care of. As soon as we walked in there, we felt welcomed immediately. It's beautiful. The rooms are bright and airy. The outside is well taken care of. They have a beautiful garden for the summertime and a nice common area for the residents to gather together. So far, the food has been good, too. In the memory care, they could go outside in this beautiful courtyard that they have. They also have a very pretty common area with a fireplace and a big TV for them to gather. It's very welcoming. Everybody that works there has been so kind and compassionate.

We like everything at Heritage At Deer Creek except their memory care. The people that were there were at a different point in their dementia, so we thought she wasn't at that point. Everything else was very nice. And the rooms were certainly better than what she's got now. They had more windows. The cleanliness was good. It looked clean. There was a courtyard where memory care people could go outside. They have a very small walkway with plants for those who like to have potted plants, take care of plants, and do gardening. That was neat. I liked that when you looked out the window, it looked like you were in a regular neighborhood. It looked homey especially when you looked outside of it. The staff who toured us was very good. She introduced us to people along the way.

My mom was at Heritage at Deer Creek for 15 years. I liked that she was safe there because they had a locked lobby. They had an elevator and rails in the hallway. She had friends there, and they all kind of looked out for each other. Socially, she did well there. She's got a balcony in her apartment, so she was able to get some outside time. Her apartment was very nice, except that they didn't update anything. She had the same carpet for 15 years that was already used when she moved in. They had a workout room, a library, a community room, and little alcoves where people meet and play cards. It was a nice-looking building. It was nothing super extravagant, but it was clean and homey. They had a laundry room, but my mom had the stackable in her apartment. They had an underground garage for people who were still driving, and they allowed small pets. When she first moved in, they had a lot of wonderful activities. But then the management changed over and over and they cut the budget, and now the turnover of the management people and the custodians is just constantly changing. Sometimes they don't even know who the manager is. Nobody will be in the office for weeks. It used to be great, but it's just gone downhill in the last 2 years. They didn't provide meals, typically. The assisted living facility next door provided meals, so some people would buy food from the assisted living place.

My mother was a resident of the EC Unit at Deer Creek. She died thereabout 45 days ago. In her last days the staff was still attempting to give her solid food, which she could no longer consume. I had to get hospice involved to have her dies modified to soft or liquid foods only. The final straw came when she died. I received a call from the funeral home that they were in route to pick up my mother. This had all been pre-arranged. To this day I have never been contacted by anyone from Heritage or Deer Creek. I live remotely, so I made arrangements for her room to be cleaned out within a few days of her death. At the end, there were no phone calls, no letters, no condolences or no correspondence of any kind. I do not think that my mother's care was poor, largely due to her being a hospice patient, but the general lack of recognizing her and her family as human beings is distressing. I know that this facility has has tremendous staff turnover, however, they collect thousands of dollars a month for each resident. taking the time to make one phone call is the right and human thing to do. Cheers!

This review is for independent living. Please DO NOT put your loved one here. Today is 12/23/2022 and the apartment temp is 58 degrees because the windows are so drafty. There is no manager on staff. The Owner knows about the problem and does nothing to resolve it, such as replacing windows. This is considered negligence. They should be busing these seniors to a hotel for them to stay. Also they now want the residents to pay for new faucets, screens, doors, if replacements are needed. This is totally ridiculous the residents do not own these apartments they are renting them.

We toured Heritage at Deer Creek. We weren't sure if my mom would need independence or assistance, but there are people there if she needs it. It was nice, clean, it was semi-remodeled and it was in a nice location like in a suburban area. They did not have as many activities as the one we chose, but their amenities were ok. The tour guide was very nice but never called us back.

Heritage at Deer Creek is a nice facility, but the people didn't seem happy. It was OK, it just wasn't my favorite, and I didn't like the size of it. It was so large that I think my mom wouldn't do well there. It was nice and they had activities, like movie nights and different things. The staff seemed nice.

Heritage at Deer Creek wasn't the greatest, and was not up to date. The apartment she showed us needed a lot of work. The appearance when you walk in, it was a mess, and when you walk in the entrance part, it looks like it needs to be updated. It didn't have the appearance of being very clean. They have meals there, but my sister-in-law who lives there said the meals weren't good. Her apartment was smaller than some of the other ones, but they had it fixed up real nice. I guess before they moved in it was painted, but the kitchen was very tiny, and the living room was average size, and had only 1 bath. They had a patio in the back, and before COVID, they had activities in the main room.

Heritage at Deer Creek was a very, very nice facility. The rooms were a little bit smaller, the staff seemed friendly and the location was great. It was a very well-maintained building. It looks like they have quite a bit of the caretaker and medical staff, which was what I'm interested in for my mother. Our rooms are a little bit on the small side, but they are more than adequate for what we were looking for. The staff who gave the tour was a very, very nice guy. I don't think the facility is more than five years old or four years old. It's very clean and neat.

We liked Heritage at Deer Creek very much. If it was closer, we probably would have chosen it for my wife. Everyone we talked to seemed very friendly and very warm. We had a good feeling about it. There was good scenery when looking out the window. There's a pond, which is good because she is big into wildlife. They have a nice walking path around the pond. The staff member did an excellent job and answered all our questions. The residents seemed very happy and they were enjoying their experience. They have a lot of activities, including field trips.

My mother was at Heritage at Deer Creek. I tried to get cable twice into her room so she can have a TV and a phone. They made appointments twice and they broke them twice, so that really upset me. Other than that, Heritage at Deer Creek was still good. They're excellent. They cared for her, they got her up and put her in her wheelchair, and they took her outside. They were good. The only complaint was that there was no TV or Time Warner Cable. The care was excellent. The people that cared for her were compassionate. The food was delicious and the facilities were spotless. The place was brand new, clean, bright, and sunny. It was excellent. They had a whole list of activities that you could do there, but we didn't do much then.

Heritage at Deer Creek was very nice. They had activities, a chef on staff, and more units so they had to take care of more residents. They had different activities every day for the residents. What's very interesting about the menu is that everything is fresh, brought in, and prepared from beginning to end.

My husband will be moving into the memory care unit of Heritage at Deer Creek. They were very kind and caring. The facility had a lot to offer and their outdoor space was wonderful. The staff showed me around. The apartments I saw were more of a studio with just a bedroom and a bathroom. There were different-sized bedrooms, some are a little bit bigger than others. They had a pretty good activities list.

Everything was fine at Heritage at Deer Creek. We actually decided between this one and another one, and we were going to talk with my mom. Meanwhile, her condition worsened and she needed a higher level of care, so this one got taken off the list. The staff was all really friendly, it looked clean, and they had good programs. They had something that we thought my mom would especially like -- which was that they made something like dog biscuits and then sell them. My mom really likes animals, so we have dogs, and we thought that she would enjoy that part. Other than that, I remember that the tour guide was really helpful. She answered all of our questions and didn’t seem like she was in a hurry or anything; everything was good.

We visited Heritage at Deer Creek. The rooms are very nice. The community is in the nice area with nice surroundings. They have planned activities and a regular schedule of things that they do. I think they have an activity director. I felt it was a very nice, well-kept, and clean facility. I can’t say anything that they need to improve on. Security was good and controlled. Price was average; it was good.

We thought Heritage at Deer Creek was really nice. The apartment was gorgeous. It was a nice size. We thought it would be ideal for our friends. If I was moving one of those, I would probably select that one. They had activities scheduled for the whole week. They had bingo, and somebody came in and played piano or guitar. There was always something going on. The atmosphere seemed to be really nice, and it seemed to be a very nice facility.

My mother was at Heritage and everything did not go very well. We were very upset with the facility. They were going to put her into the memory care unit, but she doesn't belong there so she was crying and walking in the hall without her walker. I believe the primary issue was with the night shift and the night staff was not very helpful, although her primary caregiver at day shift was just great with her. One thing I noticed when we were packing up and moving her was that they were in such a hurry to get rid of her. They were just pushing her out the door. We were there packing up her things and were out on a trip taking stuff to her new place when somebody went up there and took it upon himself to pack up her remaining things, which was an invasion of her privacy. She's been doing so well in this new facility that makes us wonder what was going on at the Heritage in Deer Creek. They also don't have activities for their residents during the weekends and in the evenings.
