I like that Sunset Woods Senior Living is a small facility, and you could look out the window and see the woods right there. It was very quiet. The staff who assisted me was very nice. They're very young. I wasn't able to taste their food. I wanted to because it smelled good. The building is very clean and it's small, so you can't get lost in it. The rooms were small, but that's just par. But I like that they're very cozy.

It looked good. The tour was very thorough. The facility looked very nice. I think it can meet the needs of the clients who are selected to go there. It looked just fine to me. I didn't get to spend a lot of time because it was a brief visit, but it was a good one. For a first look, it looked good. The rooms were like small one-bedroom studio type things. They were doing an art activity outdoors on the patio. It looked like they were having fun. They had a TV room. It was all very modern and quite nice.

It was just way past what I needed. Some of the people there even have dementia. I was there for 15 minutes, and the young lady that showed me around said, "This isn't for you." I don't want to live in a place where I have to get permission to walk out the door and have it locked on me. It took me just a few minutes to realize that it wasn't for me; just the simple fact that you'd need a wheelchair to go from place to place. The staff was showing me things, and then took me into a room and sat down and said, "I don't think this is for you. I don't want to waste your time and I can tell you this isn't for you." There's nothing wrong with it. It's just not for me, so she was very nice about that. The people there have different types of health problems, which I know is the human factor. It was very pleasant and very clean. What I noticed is that there was no smell of urine. It was totally cleaned up. I saw people going to meetings, people getting together in a club, and some of them were eating lunch. It was just like a normal day. They showed me the independent living and we walked through rooms, up the hallway, and through all of the different places. There's an area going out to the patios where they have places for people to see and do things. I met many other staff members too, and all of them were genuine and friendly. They're very pleasant and nice to the people. They're very caring as well.
