I visited a loved one at Heritage's memory care in Muskego. They have a lady there who is just fantastic with the staff. She is also very good with the care of somebody who has dementia. It's a good place. The rooms are very nice too. It's a newer facility and it's beautiful. They've had some ups and downs with electricity, but it's taken care of. For activities, they usually have music.

I went to Heritage. It had all of the things in the apartment that my mom wanted like the microwave and the stove, and the space was nice. I liked the apartment. It had a washer and dryer in it, which is kind of something that my mom wanted at 96. So the impression was good. The entry was beautiful. There was a fireplace there, it was very pretty. However, what happened was that I had an appointment with them, and the guy canceled it two hours before the appointment. We rescheduled it to a Sunday, but he wasn't available, and that just left a negative feeling for me. He arranged for the front desk person to show me around, but she couldn't answer all of the questions that I had, and that was very disappointing for me.

Heritage was very nice. I met one staff member who gave me the tour, and he was very knowledgeable. He was busy with some other stuff, too, so slightly distracted, but overall, he was good. He answered my questions. It seemed like a very nice place. It was not homey. It was much more, which isn't a bad thing for some people, like a five-star hotel. It was very fancy. It had a swimming pool, it had a gym, and it had a walking track. It had a lot of amenities. I prefer the smaller, homier thing where I know that the staff knows my mom. Heritage was just too big, too much. I didn't feel like the one-on-one care that she would maybe need wasn't necessarily going to be as easy to get. That's just my impression. It was clean and had a lot of stuff.

I like that Heritage Muskego Senior Living is close. It's only a mile away. I like the swimming pool. They have a swimming pool there. Everything is newer. It was built in 2018, so it's just newer. What I did not like was looking out the window, it did not have a good view. There were buildings right there, and you looked at the back of a building. The rooms were nice and very, very clean. The staff said they had church come in. The staff who guided us was very talkative, and he showed us around and everything. He was fine. He's a good salesman.

Heritage was a very nice place. The tour was very good, and it was very informative. It was very clean, and it had a very homey feel to it. It had more of a classy feel. I liked that they have a lot of different activities available. The 1-bedroom apartment had a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, a counter with cabinets, and a sink. And then it had cathedral ceilings with a ceiling fan. They would supply a hospital bed, as well as a dresser and a nightstand. The staff who showed us around was very helpful. They had a courtyard. I think the room that we chose for my mother has a view of the courtyard.

Heritage is a beautiful place. They have a swimming pool, which is a plus. It's just three or four years old, so it's newer. The one we looked at was a one-bedroom, and it was quite large and very good. I liked it. When you walked in, there was like an island with chairs and things that you could work on. They have a microwave, stalls, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a washer and dryer. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions. She had answers to most of my questions.

Heritage was very nice, very well-kept, and very clean. They showed me a studio-type apartment. We toured the building and that type of thing. They gave me all kinds of paperwork to fill out and they said that they would need to check on availability for me for the respite care. They said that they can only accept like four respite cares in a week, and so they couldn't work that far in advance, because I'm going to be out of town for a little bit less than a week. The few staff that I saw were very polite and very attentive. The director of sales was the one that gave me the tour and answered all my questions. She was very professional, as you would expect a director to be. She had all the information and kind of left it there just because they didn't know if they'd have availability for me for respite. The dining area was very nice and very open. It's a very nice facility, but they probably could use some more staff.

We went to Heritage in Muskego. It seemed a little older and a little bit more like a traditional nursing home. The rooms that we looked at were pretty nice and were big enough. The problem was that my mom and dad couldn't be in the same unit together because they're different levels of care. My dad would have gone to an assisted studio and my mom would have gone to a one-bedroom independently. They're somewhat close, but that was a dealbreaker. The staff was very knowledgeable. I was impressed with her knowledge of the place and she seemed pretty empathetic. She answered all of our questions. I don't have anything really negative to say about her. I saw residents playing cards. It was a little nicer than a traditional nursing home, but at the same time, it had that kind of feel to it. My mom didn't like the fact that she and my dad couldn't be together. It had a pool, so she was happy about that. It was a nice pool and dad would be able to get OT and PT there and everything else. I did get a sense that dad would have gotten good care there and I think my mom would have been fine. She would have made friends there and everything else. It seemed pretty clean, but it seemed a little older.

Heritage is new, so it's only a few years old. They had a lot of amenities. The room was very spacious and would work for my dad. It was close to where we live. They have rehab available, a pool, parties, outings, games, and activities.

I made my sister a very beautiful mother of pearl Christmas tree. Last time I came the room had been rearranged & the tree was placed on the window sill broken. I placed it in the corner on a small table where it wouldn't be in the way. A apology would have been nice. Why was it on a window sill that had blinds on it.

I had talked to someone at Heritage in Muskego a few times and went there to see it. I thought that was a pretty nice place. Debbie was a very informative, very caring, and good person. She just seemed like a very bubbly and happy person. She explained a lot of things to me about the procedures and the different things that you have to go through. I saw both assisted living and memory care. The tour was very good. She took me to one of the studio apartments and that was very nice. The location is also a good spot. The place was very clean, it seemed to be very organized, and it seemed to be an overall nice environment.

My father-in-law was at Heritage of Muskego for four months before he passed away. And then my brother-in-law lived there for over a year. He has frontotemporal dementia, so he was in the memory care unit. My father-in-law was in assisted living. There were a lot of turnovers in there. The person that overlooks the entire facility went through three of those while my brother-in-law and my father-in-law were there. Over the course of three years, they had three changes in leadership. The overnight care staff was occasionally abusive, and that's why my brother-in-law left. There were some abuse issues. Especially in a memory care unit, that's terrible. There was a lot of complaining by the staff that my father-in-law, who was 90 years old, was pushing his button too often. He needed to go to the bathroom quite a bit, and they complained and just eventually stopped stop coming when he was calling them. It was mostly staffing issues. The facility itself was beautiful and the nursing staff, the RNs were great. I was able to eat there several times and the food was excellent. They're brand new and beautiful. But when it comes down to it, the staff is what's important. The activities I would rate like a zero; I'll give it a one. I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone anymore unless they get a change of leadership and better staffing. It's a beautiful place, but without leadership and staffing, it's worthless.

I did not get a good feeling at Heritage Muskego at all. As I was touring, I smelled urine in the hall, and that was not a good thing. I didn't care for the sales director; she didn't have much personality. I didn't think the residents were happy. They were eating when I toured, and they didn't look happy at all. The whole place was just quiet, nobody was talking, it just didn't look very happy. You could feel the difference compared to the other places where the residents are happy, and it feels like home, not a facility.

My tour at Heritage Muskego was nice, and the staff was very friendly and very explanatory. They had a billiard table, there's a pool, indoor and outdoor areas where there are sitting rooms, and there are activity rooms. The patio was really nice, they have underground parking, and they have a theater. The staff is fabulous, and the dining area was very lovely and well lit. The tables were a set of four, there are windows, and it was all very nicely set with the table and place settings and centerpiece, and it was very nice. We went into the activity room and saw all the arts and crafts they had. There are glass jars made into watermelon slices, and there are paintings by some of the doors of the units of the people that live there, and they were paintings that they made in an activity class.

I went to Heritage Muskego. The person who gave us the tour was very capable and very friendly. I was very pleased. She showed us what we were interested in, which is a two-bedroom, and it made a very good impression. The rooms were spacious. The only thing I thought that was missing was some type of a hobby room where you could do things like wood carving, stained glass, or things of that nature. It appeared clean, they had nice facilities, and the personnel I dealt with were very friendly. The place itself was very nice. It's laid out very nice, and it had a little walking path, but the surrounding areas leave a little bit to be desired.

We took a tour at Heritage Muskego, and it was very limited as to what we saw. We were only looking at memory care after we found out my mom needed to go to memory care. Muskego was closer to my dad's house, so we were only looking at memory care. My parents were looking at getting two beds into a memory care suite which is small. The one who assisted us on the tour was very knowledgeable. There was nothing they could not answer, so it went very well. There is a puzzle room on one floor for the residents to keep them busy. They have different activities throughout the week, like getting together to do crafts and so on.

My aunt moved into the Heritage Muskego a month ago. Basically, so far, it's very good. She likes the food, she's gaining weight, her color is wonderful, and she's more engaged. I think personally they're doing a good job with her; I think they're really quite good. She doesn't pick up her phone, we don't get to talk to her, and because of COVID, they only allow two people a week to come in and see her through a plastic sheet. I haven't seen her in almost a month. I haven't really interacted with many of the staff, but based on what I have experienced, I think they're very good. I wish we would be able to speak to my aunt. I've only seen the front lobby and the dining area, and it's a beautiful dining area. She has a lot of activities, they tell me she goes to all of the activities, and she actually gets upset when they cancel the activities because there aren't enough people. The activities are great, and her care is good.

We chose Heritage Muskego and we're moving in soon. It's beautiful, it has the two-bedroom that we're looking for, and they have a pool and other amenities that I liked. The staff is excellent, friendly, and very helpful. They have various activities that I did not check out at that time. They have a physical therapist that my husband can use, they have a workout room, and we're told the food is good. I talked with other people that have been there, and they said the food is good, a dietitian has set up the menu, and so it's adequate. The facility is kept up pretty nicely.

So glad we chose Heritage of Muskego for my Mom. She had a stroke and needed a little more help and more eyes on her. Heritage fits the bill in so many ways. Staff is always courteous, friendly and helpful. So many activities to partake in and monthly outings. Little by little my Mom is coming out of her shell and feeling "home." The apartment itself is beautiful as is the whole building (they decorate gorgeously for the seasons!) She has privacy, but help at the push of a button (which she wears so is always with/on her) when and if she needs it. I feel at ease and have peace of mind when I leave her - I know she's in good and caring hands. She is able to utilize the on-site doctor through Bluestone - what a wonderful perk: A doctor who comes to her once a month! I love how I'm kept in the loop on her care and staff takes the time to get to know you. They all chip in where needed and are good at wearing different hats. Love the family involvement! Thank you for all you do for my Mom!!!

Heritage Muskego is very modern and well-maintained, it's fairly upper-class in a way. The staff was very accommodating, she did a thorough job and showed us upstairs and downstairs. I was shown the single residences, they're updated and follow the latest trends. They have activities for the residents like vacation plans or entertainment if I remember correctly. It's kind of a neat feeling, you're not sure how much there is to see. I wanted to explore further just to see how big it is, and when you're there you just can't wait to find out.

My parents live at Heritage Senior Living in Muskego. Last Thursday night their underground parking structure was flooded. Twenty cars were totaled- with water up to the cup holders. Storage contents were ruined. Administration at Heritage held a meeting Monday and promised they’d provide updates to inform residents of the status. All they offered was “IT WAS AN ACT OF GOD,” i.e. “YOU’RE SCREWED.” The only help offered to 80 and 90 year old people was a *%##^ dumpster to put the contents of items in their ruined in storage. The facility has a bus and refused to even provide rides to people who had scheduled doctor appointments before they were able to get out and purchase a car. This is just one example of the lack of attention and services my family has observed as we’ve dealt with Heritage. For the price the residents are paying, they could do much better elsewhere.

We toured the independent living side of Heritage Muskego. Everything was very nice. I was impressed with them, the only problem I found was that they did not have an enclosed or underground parking, which I felt was very important to me. The staff was very nice, answered all our questions, showed us everything, and I liked the location.

I didnt like the new Heritage Senior Living. If I were a person who wanted to go into over 55 and live there, its fantastic, but I wasnt looking for that, and I was looking for my brother. It was more expensive. They didnt have a stove in the assisted living, and my brother liked to warm up his soup on a stove. I felt it was very large, but they had very nice people, the people who worked there, and they call you by your first name.
