I was there from April to September was under staffed and treated poorly by most all. I found a new place to go with no help from the soc worker n the medical records lady was the worst putting her hand up in my face and said talk to the had in front of the DON and The administrator Before I left had a stage Two pressure sore left in stool for two hrs waiting for help. Also ignored Drs orders many times

Pretty run down and very short on staff. Staff seemed stressed and irritable. Seemed like very long wait times for answering call lights. Very diverse population with many homeless and mentally ill people. Karmenta was very helpful when accepting my parent but they were very poor at fixing complaints. Double rooms mainly but this wasn't mentioned until we were accepted. Administrator and Asst DON (large abrupt woman with red hair and tattoos?) were very hard to contact and less than helpful when we finally did talk to them. Overall I would have to say this is a poorly run business that seems more interested in making money vs helping people and providing service. I don't usually leave comments but hope to help others avoid this place. I had also read that they have a poor rating by the state of Wi.

We had to wait for the staff to show us around Karmenta Center. They have terrible parking for guests. The rooms were small with two people to a room. It wasn’t bright, but gloomy. The residents were in their rooms watching television. Their cleanliness needs improvement.

When I went to Karmenta Center, I saw that there were people from all ages and ethnicities and they were happy there. I felt that the ambiance and the younger people there were much suited for my daughter. I have been calling them and trying to get my daughter there, but they don't have any openings yet.

The facility was run down due to the nature of it accepting income adjusted clients. There were two people to a room which wasn't a big deal. They received meals in a timely scheduled fashion. The meals didn't appear to be anything spectacular, but again they are dealing with low income clientele. That said they did an excellent job with the tools they had. The staff was excellent, they remembered who we were and always took the time to stop and bring us up to speed on what was happening regarding my Grandfather. They seemed to enjoy my Grandfather's company when he was lucid and they were very supportive when we made the decision to enroll him into hospice care. He remained with Karmenta through his hospice care until he finally passed February this year. The only negative experience I really had there was a blonde nurse who appeared to be in charge, but would frequently snap at residents, but other than her the staff was excellent and supportive. I would say overall it was quite a positive experience.
