My wife is a resident. The key thing is the staff. Despite he well publicized problems with finding good people this facility seems to be able to find competent caring staff who show great patience. The cost is reasonable for the quality of the facility. I rated the food as average, but it's as good as can be expected for such a facility. The same applies to the activities. An advantage of this place is the smaller size and that limits the outside activities that can be provided and the scope of the facilities. Overall I'm quite happy with what Frontida provides and my less than 5 star ratings simply reflect the limitations on what is possible.

My mother was a resident in the Memory Care at Frontida. She was there about a year and had excellent care from day one. She called it her “apartment”. The rooms were very roomy and kept very clean. The staff was excellent with all of her care. She had fun times with the activities. There was a big variety of games, exercises, happy hour and very nice holiday celebrations. It was a very difficult time with COVID-19, but the staff went out of there way in caring for her. It was nice getting weekly reports from Terri keeping everyone updated. We highly recommend this facility for anyone dementia/Alzheimer’s.

My mother has been a resident of Frontida of Kimberly's Memory Care for several months. This has been an exceptionally emotional time for her and the rest of the family, and we are thankful to Terri and the staff for helping all of us to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have been attentive to mom's and our needs, and most importantly, they treat mom with respect. And love. It's heartwarming to witness a hug between mom and a caregiver. That type of affection can't be faked. As with any community of strangers that are forced to live together, especially strangers with cognitive issues, there can be personality conflicts. Because Frontida is a small, home-like facility, the staff is able to integrate with the residents, and they get to know them, and their personalities. They utilize this knowledge not only to better care for each resident individually, but also as a group. To us, this has been the most outstanding feature of the Frontida staff. They know each resident, they know their good days and bad days, and they know how all the resident's personalities mesh. This is important for any resident facility, but when dementia is involved, it is invaluable. A person with a memory disorder may not recognize when they are sick, or hungry, or any of the hundred other little things that can affect their health and well-being. Because the staff knows the residents, they can pick up on those subtle clues that would not be noticed in a large facility. We are extremely happy with our choice to place mom here for the care she deserves.
