My aunt was there for at least 5 years as her dementia became worst. I visited her often and was always happy to see her so well taken care of. The staff was wonderful and attentive. She passed recently and we were amazed at how respectful and caring they were throughout her stay until the end. I would like to thank the whole staff there, so many came to her room, held her hand and said so many nice things about her and how sorry they were.

Heritage Lake Country was very nice. It's a relatively new building. I believe they built it in 2017 so it's a nice building. The apartment was nice, too. It's roomy and the bathrooms are a good size with safety included. The person that helped me was very nice and very informative. The grounds were very nice and very pretty. I have a relative living there, and we went to visit her and she invited us for lunch and the food was very good. They have water aerobics, a movie theater, a pub with a bar, exercise, a hair salon, and a library. It was very nice and very well-appointed. The people were excellent.

We did a tour of Heritage Lake Country. The facility had a lot of amenities. It was very clean and attractive. They had a lot of activities for people. I did not try the food, but the food seemed like it was outstanding. The staff who gave me the tour was named Michelle. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable. She was able to answer all our questions. She took plenty of time to make sure that we were all comfortable with the facility. She answered any questions we had about it. The rooms were spacious, nice looking, and nicely appointed. They had everything. It was very good.

I agree with alot of the other reviews. There is a constant turn over of staff. All the things that were promised years back are gone. The food has gone down hill. There is no pastor any more. The price keeps going up and my mother is getting less and less. Do your research well before choosing where to place your loved one...

I toured Heritage Lake Country for my mother-in-law. It's perfect for our needs. It goes from independent living to assisted living, so that was very nice. The rooms were very new, comfortable, and of good size. The amenities are up to date and in good shape. The staff were very friendly and were very willing to help us make the transition. We didn't taste the food, but the dining room looks like a restaurant, so it appears very comfortable. We observed someone doing physical therapy. They had community rooms for doing puzzles and playing games. They also have a pool for water aerobics. Several of the apartments have balconies, and the frontcourt area is nice, too.

Very poor communications from facilities and poor staffing always short handed. Do not provide the care we were promised

I am consistently impressed with the staff's attention to detail. Since the facility went into lockdown due to the pandemic, I feel I've been treated to a very high level of interaction and sharing of information.

Heritage Lake Country seems to always have trouble with staffing and use that as an excuse as to why things are not done properly, etc. lack of continuity of staffing makes residents uncomfortable and many needs fall through the cracks. You think your parent is getting the needed care and assistance that you are paying for to find that it is not always the case. Very poor communication with the family members on residents needs or changes. Lack of follow through continues to be an issue. Disappointed we move mom to this facilities. Facilities appearance is great but does not translate to care of the residents.

The physical plant is very appealing and warm. However, there are significant issues which have not been addressed, namely: Giving Independent Living residents much improved lunches and choices of entrees. Some concierge staff are courtesy and helpful. However, one in particular is difficult. I understand about precautions regarding Coronavirus, however, keeping the Independent Living residents in what could be called an overly prolonged "lock down," is taking its toll on the residents, especially since other facilities (competitors) are not as draconian as Heritage Lake Country. The price point is high, but now, without the advertised amenities, and without the ability for healthy and virus free residents to enjoy one another's company, it may well cause empty apartments as residents and their families seek a better living environment for their loved ones. I appreciate this survey, but it remains to be seen if public and helpful criticism will actually be heard, and more importantly, acted upon. I truly hope, that given what other CBRFs are doing, that Heritage Lake Country will begin to phase back the things we are paying for, such as communal dining (with social distancing); activities in the dining area and/or pub; the ability for residents to play games and/or cards; the return of the hair salon; MUCH IMPROVED meals; and the ability for family and loved ones to visit...even if it means outdoors and with appropriate masks and social distancing. Without the phase-back, I truly think that emotional and psychological harm are being done to the residents and their families. I am responding to Independent Living residents. These comments are meant in a spirit of being helpful, not unduly critical. A time line for "normalcy," would be helpful so that families are not left with an indefinite lock down and a complete and utter removal of all the wonderful amenities we are paying top dollar for.

Heritage Senior Living Lake Country looks great. The staff seemed very nice. They've got a pool, games, exercise and all kinds of stuff. The rooms are very spacious. My mom is getting a 1-bedroom apartment. The dining area was very nice. It's close, convenient and new.

This is a beautiful facility with all the obvious capabilities of taking care of their residents. Very friendly. Everyone we met in the hallway while we were on our tour greeted us.

Heritage Senior Living Lake County is brand new and close to our home. There are a lot of activities, but I liked that the room had a private balcony where they could sit outside, and it has a nice view. They are getting more and more used to it and getting more engaged in the activities. However, they've been waiting for the bathtub for a month and a half now. My mom is getting frustrated because she takes baths and she doesn't like to shower. So, I'm concerned that her personal care hasn't really been taken care of. She even came over to my house to take a bath. My parents rave about the food and said they give them too much. They take them in a van to get ice cream, they watch movies, they play Bingo, they bowl in the hallway, they have a sit and be fit class, they have trivia, and they play cards. They've got a living room and a separate bedroom, a full refrigerator, a microwave, and even a kitchenette with a little kitchen table. The staff members are bubbly and very friendly and they all know my parents really well. Every time I go there, they all know what's going on with my parents and I just feel like they take care of them, they watch out for them, and they all know what they're up to. They're always trying to get them involved.
