My mother has moved into Prairie Ridge Assisted Living. They have been awesome and helping me place my mom. It's very, very clean. The rooms are very clean. They supply toiletries and paper towel dispensers. The staff is very caring. They make sure that the residents are down for their meals, and if they can't make it down, they bring their meals to them. They have activities for them to do which they encourage them to participate in. The staff interacts very well with the residents. I'm very pleased with them. The food is good. There are good portions. My mom has not had any complaints about the food. Yesterday, they had a field trip to Fond du Lac, Hobby Lobby, and Gilles. They have bingo, and today they had KerPlunk. One thing I like is every day they have exercise, two sessions, one at 10:00 and one at 2:00. They have card games, they have a puzzle in the main area for all the residents to work on, and they had an ice cream social last Friday for the residents. They have a coffee social. They have a church that the residents could participate in. They have bowling, beach volleyball, arts and crafts, and they did painting, and Halloween coloring. Every day, they have stuff for them to participate in.

Prairie Ridge Assisted Living seemed like a nice place. It was large and all on one level. It was a small apartment that they showed me. There was a very nice meeting place or a lounge when you walked in, and that's where they ate. There were several tables and chairs in there, and it looked nice. They would have supplied the care my mom needed. I didn't see anything going on when I was there, although they said they had activities. There was an activity area and I think that takes place where they eat, in that same room. It was like a big lobby when you walked in. The staff who assisted me was somewhat pretty informative. It was a nurse's aide, and she seemed alright.

I toured Prairie Ridge last year. When I was there they were all very friendly and very helpful. The room was pretty nice there, there's a cooking area, but I don't believe they had a stove in there. They had a microwave but no stove. They had a place for your table, and they had a fairly good sized living room, and this one had one-bedroom. I asked about the food, and people said that was pretty good, but I didn't try it. It's not too far from the shopping places. It seemed that the dining area was quite a way from the rooms, the sitting area, and stuff. I don't think they have a memory care, but maybe they do. This place you can go there and you just can't live alone. You can stay there till you die, you bring in hospice, and everything there. You don't have to be transferred from there to a hospital or to a nursing home, 'cause sometimes people don't like to be moved.
