Pioneer Place of Tacoma is very clean, and the staff is very nice and caring. They take very good care of my grandmother, who is pleased to be there. They have bingo, singing, and different activities every day, and she enjoys them all. The dining area is clean. The menu varies from day to day, and the food is very good.

Pioneer Place was very lovely, nice, very clean, and welcoming. I liked it a lot. That would be a choice of mine if we could afford to go there, but they required you to pay full pay for about 18 months after that you can change over to Medicaid, and I don’t know if I’ve got 18 months worth of funds. I would love my husband to go there as it’s a very nice facility.

The director and the people at Pioneer Place are very helpful. My neighbor has a single room. We brought her furniture there. It is very clean and nice. I also have a friend whose mother is also there. The facility has big windows, and it is bright.

Pioneer Place Memory Haven is wonderful. It is very clean. I have never been in there when it hasn't smelled clean, and that's a big one for me. It is cheery and bright. It is a nice facility. She has her own little side with her own little table setting. They have private baths. She has a roommate. One of things I like about them is that they do have some long-term staff that has been there. They also have the short-term people that have kind of come and go. The long-term staff is very professional. They know mom very well and accommodate her needs very well. They don't have many activities, but they do have some to keep them busy until about 3 o'clock. That's probably an area that they can improve a bit, having some of the active memory care stuff going. However, they do a really nice job with their food. They have a dining area with little tables set up, and the residents come in. Everybody eats together, but if the resident doesn't want to be out with everybody, they will bring food to the room.

My father-in-law is in Pioneer Place. It is a nice place and the people there are also very nice. I believe the staff is professional. He is in a private room with a shower and a bath. It is very nice and we bring his furniture in there. I don't know if he is doing the activities or not but there are activities. I will recommend them to others.
