My husband is at The Ridge. I had home care for him, and they recommended The Ridge, and it is close to where I live, and I have transportation to get there. It is very nice. The people are very nice and very helpful. In the last few days, my husband has had a medical problem, and they have been right on top of it, so I'm very happy with them. He likes the food; he says it's very good. It's expensive but every place is expensive. It's reasonable. Compared to everybody else, it is right up to normal. I'm very happy with it and they're taking good care of him. Of course, my husband wants to come home, but he says he likes it. He likes his room, he likes the people, and he likes the food, but he wants to come home.

I like The Ridge. The girl that took us around was very, very nice. Every staff person that we walked by was very friendly, all said hi. There were two different buildings, and there were like 26 people that lived in each one. They had their own little area, they could wander around, and they could do events. We even saw some people doing some Easter things when we went there out there. And everybody was friendly. And I liked it. They have a nice courtyard that was surrounded by the rooms so the patients couldn't get out anywhere. There's a small area to watch TV with everybody. It wasn't a big facility. It was more like home. The one thing that also intrigued us was their respite care. We could try respite care for a minimum of two weeks to see how she likes it. They would provide the bed and everything for her, so we don't need to bring furniture in unless she stays there. So, I thought the respite care would also be a good place to try out to see if Mom liked it there.

My father was cared for by the staff for the last year and a half of his life. They were all tremendous caregivers who really specialize in memory care. There were always engaging activities throughout the facility: live music, bingo, board games, cards, puzzles, movies, weekly bus trips to tour the town and maybe get a milkshake,... There is a terrific "town square" that makes you feel like you are walking outside through a little town. There are various "living rooms" with pianos, TVs, comfy furniture. The dining rooms have tablecloths and cloth napkins. I can't imagine my father staying in a better place!!! I wish I could give them 100 stars!

My Mom lived here. She was there almost two years and I can't say enough good about the facility and the staff. I was there a lot and observed the care the residents received and that as a whole most of the residents were happy there.

My aunt was here for two weeks in October. We chose this facility firstly because they called me back when I inquired about them. A couple of others didn't. Another reason was that they had a section for Alzheimer's. The facility was clean. They did have different rooms for different things, e.g. quiet rooms, reading rooms, activity rooms, indoor and outdoor area. They have an outdoor area that's not completely locked out. Residents can go out there, but it's still enclosed within the building so that they can't run away. They did have locks on the door and combination to get in and out. It was a contained facility. The people there seemed caring. They have been really helpful and everybody was really friendly. I received call backs from them. We were even invited to Thanksgiving dinner and the food was good. My aunt had her own room and it was nice. It was just a room with a bed, a TV, a dresser, and a bathroom. Overall, it was a really nice place.
