I live in Radcliffe Place. It is in a beautiful location. The grounds were beautiful, but they managed to ruin it. We had beautiful cedars and ornamentals. We never see the hydrangeas bloom. They don't do background checks on anybody coming in here anymore. They used to when I first moved here eight years ago, but that was a different management. It was beautiful when I moved in. Now, there's water running down the side of the building. I've told them and I've taken videos of it, but they don't even want to look at my videos of the water flowing down the sides over people's windows into the foundations. There's mold. People have used bleach to get them off the walls of the building. They won't clean the gutters. They treat us like children, like we don't know what they're talking about. I used to clean the gutters in my home. I had underground sprinkler systems. Theirs have been broken and they didn't flush them in the last few years and they let them run until March and they freeze up. I've called Protective Services two different times. They came here unexpectedly. They do it that way and they talk to them. They were supposed to come back and have a meeting so all of us could get our grievances in, but they never followed up on it. They don't respect us. They get mad at us and give us warnings and stuff. The division lady was here because they couldn't find any managers (nobody wanted to manage this place) and her name is Coral and she's from the Cirrus Group. I came in (because I walk my dog and observe things a lot) and told her some people keep parking out and back and they seem to be changing our carpets there in our building and they don't have license plates. She said, "It's OK if they don't have license plates." She is the one who hired them, leaving them in our building, and they can't speak a word of English. I called the police department on that and they said that's not OK. They closed the kitchen down because they couldn't afford to pay them anymore. So, we had the fire alarms go off and stuff because people were burning their food, and that just happened the 1st of October when they closed the kitchen down. This place was built in 2007. The carpets on all three floors, in the hallways, are the original carpets from when this building was built. They are so thin that the stains stay on top and they're gross-looking. If you walk the halls, you will see it. Their food was a good thing. Travis has been here since the beginning. He's a refined-looking guy, and Stephanie. They were very nice, clean people, and they made good dinners. We had prime rib and lobster when I paid for my neighbor next door for her birthday. I've eaten in the kitchen a lot of times, but you'd have to pay quite a bit, $25 to $35, to have a meal there. During COVID, they had it for $8. I think they had to pay them quite a bit, that is why they let them go, but nothing's improved here. They've hired a guy with a strong accent. He claims to say he knows all about electricity, but all the washers and dryers are broken down and there are two utility rooms per floor. There are maybe two washers and two dryers that barely work on this whole second floor. Landscaping is also horrible. Arlene is the activity person and the person that follows the people around. So she's running around like a chicken with a sales hat on. Right now, she has an exercise/stretching class and everybody's included. They also take people on the bus now. They transport people to the grocery stores. I think she takes them out at Christmas time to see the lights. They don't have any artwork or anything like that. So, it's mostly helping people get around to their appointments. There is one guy they allowed in here and they put him up on the third floor and he's paraplegic. There's only one elevator on the third floor and it broke down and it took him hours before he could get down to eat. He has to get the metro people to come and haul him around because the lift on their bus is broken and they keep promising that they'll fix it, just like the washers and dryers and everything else, but they never do.

Back in February I spoke with the manager and the call was very pleasant and informative. She took my information and told me it was okay to call once a month. I called about a month later and spoke with the receptionist. I left my name and number for the manager. About four days later I received a call from the manager stating that two apartments were coming available one of which I qualified for. I called 2, 3 times leaving messages and once was disconnected, Finally I was able to connect with the manager who set up an appointment with me. I arrived for the appointment, and she was not there. The receptionist gave me a small tour, answered what questions she could and gave me a package with information and an application. A day or two later I called and spoke with the manager again. She had told me there was a one bedroom available at the end of April that I qualified for. When I asked her specific questions about what the rent would be exactly, she could not answer. She told me she would call me back no later than the next day with the answer. I never heard from her again. I sent an email prior to my last conversation with her and never received a reply. I am retired now but have 23 years of experience in apartment management. Something is not right with the manager here. I could have given the person asking what the rent would be an answer in less than 5 minutes. Just a warning. The place may be beautiful but there is something not right with the manager. Oh, the receptionist was very nice and kind and the place was clean.

Went for a tour yesterday- she assured me she would call me by end of day - heard nothing Left a voicemail that night - still no contact the following day. Unprofessional at best Except for a few 2 bedroom units - there are no bathtubs. Elevators are poorly placed causing many residents to have to walk a long way to get to their unit Parking is not close to the building entrance and none are assigned to the residents

The maintenance crew is top notch. The apartments are nice. But, NOT so much the front desk. They have either been told to be vague and unresponsive, or they do it because they just don't want to be helpful. The majority of the time you get... I'll let someone know; or I wasn't told (even tho you saw it written on that yellow pad that supposedly has everything documented); or YOU are given a phone number to contact help like it is the residents responsibliity; or they tell you the correct person has been notified. But you get the same response on the second and third complaint. Extremely frustrating to residents who are limited and fragile

My dad and I really liked Radcliffe Place. They set up lunch, gave us a tour, and we got to see the place. However, we can't get an agreement to move him in, and he couldn't afford to live there. It's like a 5-star place, and everything looked fairly new and updated. The staff was very helpful, considerate, and answered all our questions. The dining area was clean, nice, and the food was excellent. They had a game room, theater room, craft room, and salon.

Radcliffe was very good, and the environment was good. The staff was very cooperative, but they didn’t have any vacancy and asked me to contact them in December. They showed me the apartments, and the rooms were of good size.

We found Radcliffe Place for my mother and her husband. Very friendly and very nice staff, we really liked them. It is a one-bedroom with a small kitchenette, a nice wheelchair accessible shower, and heat but no air conditioning. Lots of activities, transportation is included, two meals a day, and the food is very good. It is very homey and comfortable, and the facilities look well cared for and new. It feels like a woodsy kind of setting even though it is accessible to all of the businesses that you need, transportation is quite adequate to medical and shopping, and a lot of good things included. They only have breakfast and dinner, and I think it would be nice if they have lunch and if where you had an emergency, you could press a button or something; they don't have that. Also, their staff leaves at either five or seven pm, and it would be nice if there were staff at night. But it is so nice and very affordable. They are property tax exempt if they offer a certain number of tiers of assistance, so they discount according to your income.

Radcliffe Place was for seniors who wanted independent living, but they provided two meals a day in their dining room. They provided trips. They had a van that would take people to various stores in the area or to doctor's appointments. They had an arts & crafts room and a big theater room for viewing movies. The rooms themselves were larger, and they had a choice of one or two bedrooms with a little kitchenette and a living room. I thought they had an exercise club, bible study, and people that played cards and games. There was quite the variety of things. They offered breakfast and dinner. Dinner hour was 4 to 5. I thought it would be better to offer lunch and dinner if a person wanted to sleep in and doesn't need to have breakfast because lunch was so early. I thought that would be better, but that was just my opinion. I thought it was very adequate.

The food is horrible at Radcliffe Place. But she's very happy. She just hates the food and the service. I think the staff is good. The rooms were very nice and very spacious. They have a bus that takes them to doctor's appointments. They have been cooking dinner every night, but I think they're getting away from that. So I think they're trying to phase out the food service. They have activities off-site that they take them to; they have exercises and movies. I like its location to us, and it seems to be safe. But they won't meet with me about the food. They won't talk about it and have been really close-minded as far as helping in that respect.

It's only been a month that my Mom has been at Radcliffe Place. I showed her 3 or 4 different places, and my mom chose this. It's clean and very nice. They have good food too. They have assistance if you need it; there's a caregiver who comes in if you schedule an appointment with them. She has a very nice one-bedroom, probably 700 square feet. It has a small kitchen with refrigerator, oven, stove, and everything she needs. She does participate in social recreations in the place. She likes it there.

The Radcliffe place is a great environment for the elderly, with many activities, and amenities available. To start with the staff were very polite when assistance was needed. They take their time with assisting you to make sure that everything you need is taken care of. The amenities available include a dining room, with both a continental breakfast service, as well as a dinner service which are available everyday. The facilities include, a movie theater, game rooms, activity areas, as well as a room for physical therapy or exercise. Other rooms include a computer area which is complete with two computers available for internet usage. The building is right by Lake Meridian, as well as a nearby grocery store for any supplies that may not be provided. The food here is also very delicious and you are served by a very quick and responsive wait staff, that is very friendly. The dining room also provides you the ability to get together with visiting family members, and friends allowing you to be comfortable no matter where you are in the building.
