Life Care Center of Federal Way is a long way from home. But they kept my friend warm enough that he wasn't too cold. It's an old place and it's not suitable right for what he needs. 90% of the staff members are very wonderful, but there's always 1 or 2 that are not the best. But they're mostly good. The food is okay because my friend is gaining weight. It is a lot better than McDonald's every day. With regards to upkeep, they are doing as good as they can. However, with three people in the room, the room is crowded. They have activities. However, they are kept inside all the time. The only time my friend left the building was when I took him out for a ride. The dining area is a big room. It was open, but when the weather got cold, they closed that to conserve heat.

Life Care Federal Way is a great place to go if you need short term rehabilitation! The therapists and nurses are all knowledgeable and kind! If you can't go home yet, it's not a bad place to be!

Life Care of Federal Way was not a good place for my mother. My mother had dementia and needed constant care. As POA for my mother's care, I was not informed by the staff (or doctor) prior to her being taken off of her medicine for memory loss. Due to this fact, my mother's situation deteriorated faster. Due to the neglect by the staff my mother also became critically dehydrated that placed her in the hospital and she never recovered. Due to their neglect, she developed other health conditions from the dehydration and a few weeks later passed away. My advice is to find a responsible place for your family member to go to other than Life Care of Federal Way especially if the person has alzheimer's or dementia.

This facility does a great job in working with its residents to ensure their happiness and satisfaction with the service of all the employees of the facility. The staff was cheerful and professional in both the dementia and health care wards. Each staff member made sure to know the habits of each client, as well as simple things that would improve the client's day. Amenities were kept very clean and the grounds, including as vast array of beautiful flowers, were well maintained. The facilities were bright and cheery, complete with colorful wall additions and furniture. I spent most of my time in the dementia unit with a great group of residents and staff. The staff took care to know the habits and likes of each patient in order to provide the most stable environment possible. They were able to read the demeanor of the patient, which allowed the staff member to decide when to bathe them. I recommend this facility for dementia care over regular healthcare because there are far fewer residents per staff member in the dementia unit than in the regular healthcare unit.
