My mother moved into GenCare Federal Way. It had a very warm and inviting kind of feel to it. They are very professional and they seem to have a great staff taking care of the elderly there. I just liked it. It's one of the few places that I checked out and I just had a great feeling about it. They had a great memory care facility there for my mother and it's working out well. There were accommodating to her especially because she wasn't quite aware of what was going on. They helped the transition run very smoothly for her. I have gotten to know everybody in each department, the director of activities, the nursing staff, the marketing director, and the front desk people, and they're all super friendly. I tried the food and it was great. They use Charlie's Produce, so everything's super organic and fresh. The facility is good, super clean, modern, and everything's updated. They have yoga, dance, they do special interest groups like travel and genealogy, and they have cooking classes there, too. It seems like a great value for what they offer. It's conveniently located.

GenCare Federal Way was well-maintained. It was a little confusing if you didn't know where you were going, but for what they had, they had the same amenities as the other facility we went to. It was nice. I only looked at the studio, but unfortunately, they don't have anything available at this time. The lady took me to the activity center, and I could see what they had that they could do and all that while there. The staff that I met were nice and pleasant.

My wife toured with me at GenCare Federal Way and all of the elderly people were just talking to her and she was talking to them. They seemed like pretty nice people and they were nice to her. That's the one thing I really liked about it. She's at the stage where she doesn't really communicate anymore, but they were good to her. That's what I was impressed with, and that she would be in contact with other people. I don't want her to be by herself in her room. She's not going to be stuck in bed. She's going to be able to talk to other people and interact with other people, because that makes her happy. That's important to me, too, that she'd be in a place like that. The staff was nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. It was a very nice place. They had nice rooms, they were clean, and new. They had room for our stuff. They seemed to have activities going. There appeared to be places where people could get together. I saw a couple and I thought they were nice. It was also clean. That was impressive.

GenCare Federal Way has friendly staff. It just seemed like it needed an update. I did not care for the rooms. They share a room and there's like a bookcase that divides the two residents. The staff during the tour was friendly and wonderful. They were having a little Halloween celebration at that time. They decorated cards and stuff for the elderly people. They had a nice little cubicle for those who could participate. They also had nice areas where they had built some crafts. There's an area where they had some pumpkins or some flower arrangements. They also have this massive amount of activities every single day that these elderly people can choose from.

We visited GenCare Lifestyle Federal Way, which we were not impressed by. They have all sorts of awards supposedly, so we thought that we would be blown away. Unfortunately, you could tell that the person who took us around was brand-new. We almost had to guide her. We were telling her what she should tell us or show us. It was considerably smaller than the other place we've looked at. When you walk in, the colors were very subdued. It's like when you visit your elderly aunt. It's what you'd expect her place to look like. It compared poorly to the other community we saw. It didn't look like it had been updated as far as decor, and it wasn't spiffy-looking. In terms of cleanliness, what we saw was OK; it wasn't terrific. The rooms we saw were tiny. The one person we dealt with (who was brand new) was very pleasant. We had to ask her to show us the bulletin board where they post their activities. We had to lead her around. It didn't compare to the other facility where the person was full of energy, information, and enthusiasm. She was just too new. Overall, it was OK, but not anything you'd get excited about.

GenCare Federal Way was wonderful. It had a very relaxing atmosphere. It was easy to move around there. It's well taken care of. Their gluten-free diet was a big plus. I loved it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have bingo, puzzles, a library, and a lot of various activities for them throughout the week.

I toured GenCare Federal Way. They have a beautiful courtyard, but it was just a little too far away from the family here. The food looked and smelled delicious. They have a shared room, which was one side small and one side big. They were nice, but for someone with dementia, it just didn't fit for my mom. I just didn't think it'd be fair for my mom to split her room. They have a game room, a TV room, and a common area where they do activities. Every half hour, they do something with them. They make cookies, so the residents can do a task. It makes them feel like they have a purpose, and I like that. Security is great. The doors are locked, so they can't just wander around throughout the building. The facility is beautiful, and they have beautiful grounds, too.

We visited this community. Gencare just purchased it and they're going to do some very interesting things, including a big remodel. They were older, so the rooms were large. The one room available had a huge walk-in closet. There wasn't a lot of engagement of either staff or residents, but it's in transition from having been through a series of different managers and owners. The memory care unit needs some upgrades and that's all planned as part of their remodel. They have an exercise room, which is going to be upgraded into a modern concept. It was only being used for group type activities and it will eventually be more like a gym with PT, or somebody's going to be in charge of it.

My client moved in, and she's in their memory care. The facility is fine and she's enjoying herself there. I like the convenience.

It was a nice place. They were very professional and did a good job. I checked the dining area, but I did not try the food. It was set up very nicely and very clean. Everything looked really nice, clean, and well set up.

We saw the memory care unit. If my husband had the money, it would be a nice place. The staff was very friendly, polite, and informative. The grounds and the location were great. It is easy to get to. The apartments were OK and had plenty of room. I love that it's a shared unit. They were very clean.

It was beautiful and clean. It would have been perfect. The studio apartment was a nice size; they had people come and do crafts and also sing. They had different programs.

It seems nice, they have some good amenities, and the rooms weren’t like top notch, but they were OK. The staff was really good. The anterior and the common rooms were nice. The apartments looked small, but that was just alright.

We went here because it was close to our home. There were activities, but he was not into that. We looked at a studio, and it fit his needs. I only met one or two people, and they were very nice. There’s also a shopping mall nearby.

My relative is here. It is the closest one that I can find. The staff seems to be very friendly and take care of him really well. They have apartments where you bring your own furniture. It has everything you need to keep busy.

This was a really nice facility. We sat down and spoke with three different people that were involved with the memory care unit. We got to see the rooms which were very nice. They were clean and nice. You could bring your own furniture and make it your own. The residents were in their family room talking. It was a really nice facility. The dining room was clean and really nice. The whole facility was modern, clean, and set up really nice. There were a lot of lights, and it was homey. The staff was very informative. They answered a lot of questions for us. We observed some of the residents getting one-on-one with the staff. They were very professional staff.

I really liked the community. It was clean, and everybody was cheery. The staff was very nice. They showed us around, and the rooms were very nice. I would recommend this to other seniors who are looking for an assisted living.

It is a lovely facility. It wasn’t exactly what I thought my mother needed at that time, but it's a beautiful community. It seems to offer very good care. I looked at one room, which was quite nice. That particular room I thought was a little dark because it was a lower level room, but it was very nice. The whole facility was just beautiful, immaculate, and lovely. They have all kinds of activities. They have a lovely outdoor walking area. It was just a very beautiful upscale facility in a nice setting.

They had an opening for respite and so we chose this facility for my dad. It's clean and there are a lot of nice activities to do. They have dinners for the guys, bingo, puzzles, and arts and crafts. He got a studio room and so it's not that very spacious, but most of the staff has been pretty good to my dad.

My mother has been an assisted living resident resident in this facility for over 16 months. She is comfortable and content. She tells my sister and I she has no complaints. She and her quality of life have improved since moving here. She gets quality care that other family members and I would not be able to exceed and probably not meet. The facility is lovely and the staff caring and compassionate.
