Judson Park is truly a community. Neighbors and staff are like family. Genuine caring, creative planning with intellectual challenge, continuing care, mutual consideration and compassion are trademarks. Good food, welcoming décor, beautiful views are extras. Leaving our home of 43 years was hard, but moving to Judson Park feels like home with benefits!

We went to Judson Park. We thought the tour was very educational. We thought it was a good tour. We were pleased with the facility. The room they showed us was fabulous, but it was also the most expensive room. But it's a very, very, very nice facility. They have a bistro, an exercise room, and lots of activities to do. They have exercises, lots of classes, lots of things for people to do, and that's a real plus. We met with the director, but everybody we went by, whether they were people in the community or whether they were staff, they were all very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They had little hors d'oeuvres, and it was very good. They showed us the new part and the old part of the community. The old part wasn't as nice, but it's the old part that 90% of the people maybe could afford.

My mother is in Judson Park assisted living. The care has been very subpar. She has been there 3 months and is now battling her third urinary tract infection. When I cared for her at home for three years she had ONE! I am constantly told, "By Washington State law we can't make your mother do anything against her wishes." It feels like a cop-out. When you help her to the bathroom just change her "Depends" if they are wet. I have told them repeatedly what her dietary wishes are. They are very simple but no one has listened. She is loosing weight. My mother has steadily gone downhill since she has been there.

Horrible experience for my Mom. Cannot believe how often patients fall. My mom has already fallen 3 times in her brief stay (no x-rays) and I have witnessed 3 other patients fall during my short visits. Spent 5 hours by phone trying to reach ANYONE to see how she was doing after one such fall. Phone rang 30+ times on several attempts. Other reviewers mentioned this as well. Switchboard operator futilely transferring me to other extensions to no avail. Got through ONLY after getting phone call from their BILLING department and insisting a call back. Mom became catatonic during one visit but staff too involved with lunch service to attend to her. Finally staff member took vitals. (3X in disbelief) Her blood pressure off the charts. Nurse never came to evaluate her. I am not confident she is given the care she needs and deserves. My heart sinks everytime I leave there worried about her wellbeing. Good luck visiting your loved one. The skilled nursing parking lot is usually full because both employees and residents use the inadequate lot. Although they have some great caregivers, I would never recommend Judson Park to anyone. They seem more intent on promoting their "beautiful views" than on the quality of their "skilled nursing"

Judson Park was an older community. The rooms were kind of dated but clean. The staff was very nice.

Judson Park was focused on independent living. Their goal is to have people living independently who can then transition to assisted and to memory care if necessary. Their memory care unit was very small and very expensive. Everyone was very pleasant. There were lots of interaction happening, mostly on the independent side. The only room available was small. They called to say they had a one-bedroom available starting at $7,000 a month without any care. The assisted living and the memory care unit were in the oldest building.

When I contacted Jeri, the Case Manager at Judson Park, she was unsure that they could provide a positive outcome for my friend. There was a valid question about my friend's ability to survive even a few more days. I presented my case for her and the realistic expectations that I had for her. Jeri took a chance on my friend. She was admitted. The staff evaluated her and presented a plan for her development and recovery. Everyone at Judson Park took an interest in my friend and has made their best effort to support her in her recovery. There have been regular consultations with the case manager, social worker, director of nursing, nurses and physical therapists. Everyone has communicated their needs, concerns, and expectations for my friend. This level of communication and teamwork at Judson Park has resulted in a better outcome that we had hoped for. She will be discharged tomorrow to go home with high expectations in her quality of life. I am convinced that if my friend was at another local care facility, she would not be going home at all. She even likes all of the food at Judson Park! When I toured the facility I was not particularly impressed by the physical nature of the building. What made the difference are the people that staff the facility. The people have made the very positive difference over what may have been my friend's last days. I cannot overstate how positive that this experience has been.

My experience at Judson Park in the Health Center has been nothing but amazing! I was fortunate enough to be able to tour multiple skilled nursing facilities prior to my loved one needing to go to rehab and picked Judson Park after checking out a few places in the area. From the very beginning all the way to the very end, they never let us down! All the staff were very well trained and you can tell they really love their jobs! I would compare their customer service to what you expect to see from a high-end store like Nordstrom! I never even encountered someone at Judson Park with a frown or bad attitude! They really know what they are doing there and I would highly recommend them for any short term rehab needs! We would definitely return if we ever had that need again!

I don't understand how anyone has anything bad to say about this place! My wife had rehab there and she came stronger than she was before her hospitalization! The staff are smart and kind and you can tell they love helping people get well and go home. As happy as we were to get her back home, we miss that place and would go back in a heartbeat if one of us needed to.

I would absolutely not recommend this facility. My mother is a current resident in their Health Center/Skilled Nursing part and has received inconsistent care. They are chronically understaffed, and at times it is hard to even find a CNA on the floor for assistance. They regularly use nursing agencies who come in for a few shifts and do not know patients, routines, etc. Regularly let residents sit for prolonged periods in soiled clothing and undergarments. I could go in for pages about this place - avoid it,

My mother stayed at Judson Park Health Care Center for 6 days recently. As she was only there for respite care (since I needed to be out of town), I brought with us a short, easy bullet point information sheet as to what my mom needed help with and didn't need help with--such as "needs help dressing and undressing", "may need help getting into and out of bed" etc.. Additionally, I had on the sheet a list of everything I packed for her by way of clothes and toiletries. Hospice ordered all her medications to arrive later in the day in the required bubble packs for a 6 day stay. My sister visited Mom once and a friend visited several times during this 6 day stay and my sister packed up Mom's clothes for the return trip home. She and I were horrified that Mom was not only still wearing the same clothes we left her in 6 days previously, she was also wearing the same Depends undergarment! We know this is true because it is a different type than the Health Care Center uses and it was sticking to her and shredding apart and her bottom was very sore! She is still healing from that a month later. None of her clean folded clothes had been disturbed from the dresser in which I put them at the Center nor were any of her nightgowns used. When she arrived home and we unpacked everything we realized that she also came home with 2 days worth of medication still in the bubble pack! We have no idea which days she missed. I will NEVER have my mom stay at Judson Park Care Center again--extremely poor care for $362 a day!!!

I would say that my experience with Judson Park was adequate. Nothing stood out about it -- good or bad. The facility was kind of tired-looking on the inside. My uncle was in a hospital-like room. They had daily activities like entertainement from the people coming in that place. One problem we had was that he couldn't understand the help because the staff spoke a lot of foreign languages. He couldn't understand them and vice versa. However, their staff had good work ethics.

WOW... my grandfather is in the "health center" with very limited vision and can only hear with hearing aids. Every time I visit him his hearing aids are set at the incorrect setting, have dead batteries or not sitting in his ears correctly. This is not right for the amount of money he pays (something like $11,000 a month). Seriously people get it together and pay attention to what you are doing. We have heard that he appears to be disoriented, but a lot of this is brought on by him being cut off not being able to hear. We have been there when you say he is having a rough day, and the first thing we check is the hearing aids and guess what THEY ARE INCORRECTLY SET!!!

I was so pleased that my two of my family members could recover at Judson Park following falls that each had. The therapy services were outstanding - my cousin felt that they were challenging both her brain and her body to improve, all while making it fun! My other family member had special dining needs, and the crew went out of their way to ensure she had what she needed.

I have only good to say regarding the Independent Living portion of Judson Park. Dad & Mom (now only Dad) enjoy the facility, activities, & meals. However, the skilled nursing facility, where Mom is now, seems to be under-staffed. Mom is usually ready to be put to bed about 7pm, but sometimes it is 9pm before she someone is able to do so. There has also been a problem with the staff putting on her shoes, when they shouldn't have because she had a recent surgery on her foot. Dad had to entirely remove her shoes from the room so it wouldn't continue. To top it off, the staff took no responsibility for their repeated error and thought Dad was out of line when he 'blew his top' after the 4th time. Sometimes the menu is inappropriate for the abilities of those in the SNF- chicken wings is an example (chicken is fine, but chicken wings?).

The nursing home portion is sub-par to the assisted living portion. It is cheaply constructed in comparison. The nurses are always in scrubs and it overall has a "clinical" feel to it. My grandfather hated living in there and he wanted to leave so badly. The nurses themselves were nice, and they took great care of him though. The other portion of the facility is luxurious. It has an extremely upscale feel to it, and the residents and employees are all on a first name basis with each other. It's kind of cool.
