My aunt spent her last few months at Madrona House. Being on the Island, close to home, helped make that time peaceful and comfortable for the whole family. My family was able to visit her several times a day without the long drives to Silverdale or Bremerton. The ease and comfort that brought was priceless. Bainbridge Senior Living has deep roots on the Island and is truly part of the community. It felt so good to know my aunt was being cared for by people I've known for decades. The staff and director were compassionate, helpful, and attentive at every stage of her care. They brought dignity and grace to a difficult time.

Finding a memory care facility is an arduous, emotional and difficult task. You can't help but constantly wonder if you've made the right decision. After 4 years, I no longer wonder. I know I have found the right place. My Mom has Alzheimer's disease and has been so well looked after at Madrona House. The staff is friendly, warm, compassionate and always willing to help. It's obvious they truly care about the residents. There's an array of activities provided to keep the residents active (though my Mom can no longer participate) and the setting is such a nice one with the little gazebo outside for visiting and little gardens the residents can help keep. The facility is kept extremely clean. The helpful caregivers treat my Mom as if she's their own beloved parent; they carefully feed her and look after her with such love and respect. I so appreciate their tender care.

Madrona House has been a wonderful home for my father for over a year. Madrona House offers fun and interesting recreational programs, including stimulating outings to museums, gardens, and concerts, flexible care that fits individual needs, excellent menu choices, warm and inviting common areas, and, most important of all, a very caring, experienced, and committed staff. The caregivers on staff are very well trained and interact with warmth and respect with the residents. Several activities and classes, such as art, music, and exercise, are offered daily. The dining room, with its large picture windows, fireplace, and flowers on the tables, is a friendly and inviting space that welcomes the residents.

Madrona House is a modern, comfortable assisted living facility with a full-service memory care unit on premises. We were able to essentially recreate my mother's former living environment (on a smaller scale) in her one-bedroom apartment, which was fully equipped for people needing some assistance. The staff is not just friendly -- it is a loving and deeply caring group of people dedicated to making their residents' lives as full and wonderful as possible. There are activities, from yoga to field trips, movie nights, etc. The grounds are lovely, and my mother loved to walk there -- in a very safe and secure environment. While no care facility is likely to be perfect, the care my mother received at Madrona House was second to none. The staff is truly amazing.

Madrona House is very responsive in terms of updating family members about incidents, and if patterns develop, then about seeking solutions to limit these incidents and improve overall quality of life. The facility itself is relatively new and maintained well, providing a comfortable and clean space for residents. The transition from an apartment to Madrona House, was relatively seamless because of the homey feel of the rooms.

Our overall experience with Madrona House is satisfactory. My wife is in a divided apartment, where she has a single room but shares the bath with another person in another room. She also dines with about 10 people in her dining room. They have caregivers, medical technicians, helpers, entertainment, and so on. It's a very good nursing home, and the food is excellent. The living atmosphere is very good.

June 21, 2018 RE: Testimonial to Madrona House, Bainbridge Island Madrona House is a loving and caring assisted living home located on Bainbridge Island, Washington. If you are looking for a warm and comfortable environment for an elderly loved one, this is the place. From the minute you walk in the door to the smiles of the staff at the front desk to the caregivers who treat the residence with love and respect, you will find a very caring environment. Following a stroke my mother became a resident here. The entire staff was very helpful accommodating her new needs and helping her adjust to the many changes in her life, making her transition smooth. Care givers checked on her often in her first weeks, giving the family peace of mind. She looked forward to seeing them every day. Madrona House is not only beautiful, it is warm and inviting not only to its residents but to guests as well. Let’s talk about the food… a culinary trained chief oversees the preparation of three excellent meals a day offering some of the best cuisine, right up there with fine dining restaurants. They also offer holiday dining for family at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. What I believe separates this facility from others is the care and compassion provided by the caregivers, nurses and other staff members (some you never see). I am in total appreciation of their dedication, and genuine willingness to make sure our loved ones are safe and happy. I believe these caregivers and nurses are Angels watching over our loved ones. We liked Madrona House and thought it would be a good fit for my mother. It had a warm, homey atmosphere and was more like a high-end hotel. People were gathered and talking. There were a few of them out in the garden area. They weren't sitting around in their rooms; they were moving about in the community. However, it didn't look like they were doing any concrete activity. The location was very close to a very busy highway, so it didn't quite click with us. There are a lot of traffic problems for us to go to Bainbridge Island even though it is closeby.

I lived five minutes away from Madrona Center. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. It was brand new, spacious, and beautiful. The security was great.
