Magnolia Ridge was very dark, but when you walked in it was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I didn’t like the fact that my father would have to share a bathroom; it was an adjoining bathroom. It was like a college door which had a community bathroom and a shower. When I went to the tour, I called them as I got lost, and the woman told me that the owner told her not to talk money with me. She was answering questions, but she did not discuss pricing. I did have an opportunity to speak to the owner, and the owner did give me a price quote.

Magnolia Ridge assisted living facility, located in Roanoke, Virginia, is one of the smaller assisted living facilities that I have ever visited. According to their website, they only host 34 beds in the entire place. The benefit of having such a small facility is that each and every patient admitted gets much more attention and care than they would be able to at a larger assisted living facility. This truly sets Magnolia Ridge apart as one of the best assisted living facilities that one can hope to find themselves in. Not too long ago, I had a relative who was admitted to the facility. Due to health complications, he was no longer able to care for and maintain himself, so an assisted living facility was one of the last options available. Due to the small size of the facility, he was able to receive the care and attention that he deserved, and up until his passing he was very happy to be staying at such a comfortable, homely place.
