Always very cheerful, friendly and very helpful. In our process of planning to move in, we never heard the words "No, that won't work."

Brandon Oaks has a great reputation. It is beautiful, but it is out of my price range. They're extremely friendly. I had lunch there and it was great. They have a library. They have everything. They have a pool and a tennis court. You name it, they have it. There's a hospital right down the road, and there's a big shopping center and a restaurant there. You name it, it's there. With regards to upkeep, it's spotless. It's very well maintained.

Brandon Oaks was impressive and well-maintained. Their rooms were very impressive too; however, the place was very expensive. The staff was very nice. They also showed us a library. The dining room was like a restaurant.

Brandon Oaks was a very attractive facility. Everything was kept up to date and well laid out. We were only there for a few hours, but for what I saw, it had a wonderful staff. The rooms were very small but very attractive, very clean, and very well maintained. They had well planned activities and beautiful workout facilities. The food was very good. They had very well-appointed facilities.

I visited Brandon Oaks Lifecare Retirement, and I am already on the waiting list. I chose this community because the staff there was really nice. They had got all levels of care. Everything about the community was top rated, especially the rooms. They also had a place you could order meals like in a restaurant anytime during the day. The food there was good as well. They had all kinds of activities everyday. They had a library and a swimming pool. There was even a bus that took the residents to some places. In general, I was satisfied with the community as well as the security and safety of the place.

Brandon Oaks seems to be a wonderful community, unfortunately though I failed to see the apartment available for active living adults as it was financially unfeasible for me, even the lowest priced studio was way over my budget. However, I do recommend this retirement community to anyone who can afford it.

Lacking in patient safety and caring. You entrust your loved in their care and would expect the amount of money one spends the staff would be caring as if it were their loved one. Nurse and DON nonchalant attitude with care provided, after all its just a job for them. They seem uncaring towards residents. Numerous incidents with no resolution to prevent further incidence or injuries especially related to falls. Numerous incidence with alarms not being used properly.

The staff at this facility does an extremely poor job of communicating with family members. They do not return phone calls or emails. Their lack of professionalism has been extremely dissapointing given the way they sell themselves to seniors.

I like Brandon Oaks. It’s excellent, and it's very clean. I saw the dining room, and it is beautiful. They did a beautiful job as they could with what they have as far as the area.

Brandon Oaks is a very, very nice facility. I was very pleased with what I saw there when I had a visit. I honestly did not have any complaints about them. My only issue is that because my mother is in her mid 80's and that is a buy-in facility, I don’t feel like that would be appropriate because it's a lot of money being spend on something that she is not probably not going to take advantage of. The rooms were all very nice. They have a huge option in terms of the size of the rooms that are available.

Brandon Oaks is an excellent facility because I believe it offers lots of entertainment and activity for its residents, all located within the heart of the Roanoke area, making it a convenient location for both the residents and family and friends who would like to visit them. When I visited my friend who had been diagnosed with an untimely illness, she seemed to be in great spirits. Not only had she made several new friends at the Brandon Oaks facility, the staff also treated her courteously and with utmost respect. It genuinely makes me happy to see that my friend has adapted so well to such a dramatic change in her life, and I strongly believe that Brandon Oaks' quality of service helped make this difficult transition much easier for everyone. I am even considering, one day in the future when I need assistance in my life, to choose Brandon Oaks as the facility that I choose to stay in.

I found this living provider to be one of the nicer homes that I have found myself in. I went to visit a neighbor, and entered into a nice lobby, and was greeted by a person at the desk around the corner. They even had birds in the living room. I was there after dinner, but I saw that there was a schedule for many fun activities for the residents to partake in during the week (BINGO, Wii, special song shows, and ones that involved children). My neighbor had a roommate, but everyone seemed very happy and the care was beyond adequate and the place was quite staffed. I will certainly be looking into this for my parents when they need it.

Brandon Oaks is one of the best retirement communities in the Roanoke Valley. I have several acquaintances with family there, and they all rave about it.

My grandmother was a resident at Brandon Oaks from 1989 until her death in 1991. It is my opinion that she received excellent care during her time at this assisted living facility. I remember visiting her on a regular basis and being pleased with the friendliness of the caregivers and staff, the cleanliness of her room and the facility at large, and the care taken to beautify the surroundings of the facility. My grandmother loved nature and the outdoors, and I remember being able to look outside the window of her first-floor room and see trees in bloom and an array of flowers for her to look at and enjoy, and how happy this made her. All, in all, I while I still miss my grandmother tremendously, I am thankful she was able to spend her last years at Brandon Oaks, where I know she received the loving care she needed and where the staff really cared about her as a individual.
