Welcome to Tucker House! Tucker House is a three story, 127 unit non-profit apartment facility for low- income elderly residents who are 62 years or older. It is located on 3 acres in the Titus Town neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia.
Tucker House consists of 100 one bedroom apartments and 26 efficiency apartments. 14 apartments are designed for wheelchair and handicapped accessibility. All apartments feature full kitchens.
Special emphasis is placed on the security and safety of the residents. A security video system is installed that allows residents to observe the front entrance from the convenience of their apartment . A dial in system is located at the front entrance to allow guests to contact residents without gaining access to the building. All exterior doors are alarmed to alert staff and residents to unauthorized entry. A fire alarm and emergency call system is installed throughout the building with emergency pull cords installed in each apartment. A residential night manager/security is available during off hours.
A handsome veranda wraps around the front of Tucker House. The enclosed courtyard allows enjoyment of the outside in a safe and secure environment. Landscaping is extensive around the property.
Numerous multipurpose rooms are available to residents for meetings, arts and crafts, holiday dinners, chapel services and other activities. In addition, a laundry room is located in both Phase I & II.
