We have my father placed in a memory care facility in Shenandoah Terrace. We have been very happy with the care that he has received. They are very knowledgeable. If we are unable to go, when we call they give us a full report on how he's doing. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It's really like walking into a hotel and not a nursing home or a memory care unit. The rooms are all private. When you first walk into the lobby, it opens up directly into their community center, which is where they eat, and just where they have their activities. Beyond that, there is a sunroom and a beautiful screened-in porch, and then the yard that has a privacy fence around it. Because this is a secure unit, the residents can go in and out on their own, and that is beautiful. There are flowers, a walkway that goes through there, and a gazebo. The outside is very pretty. There's the main hallway that is beautiful, and then there are rooms on either side. The rooms are quite large with double windows and large closets, and a large private bathroom as well. Because of COVID, we have not been able to have a meal, but it smells wonderful, and he seems very happy. We haven't seen the activities, but there is a calendar, and there are things planned every day to keep them active and engaged. It's high value for the care that he gets 24 hours a day.
