Alexander Heights is going to be the place where I'll move into. I've walked the facilities and I'm very happy with it. It seems like it could be a very good fit for me. I will be on the ground floor. My outside door would be facing a saltwater pool. They have bike trails and amenities around. They have a couple of libraries and a little gym. The people I've met that currently live there seem to be very hospitable. All around, it's a very good environment. My particular room is not available yet. The tenant will be moving out in a day or two, and they will get it ready for me. It is fully equipped with a washing machine and all that. All I do is put my furniture in it that I'll bring with me and decorate it, and I'll be ready to go. No lawn care. I'll be paying for everything in one check. It's dog-friendly for my little dog, so it's very nice. I think it's going to be a pleasant experience. They have venues where they will have potlucks and things like that, but by and large, for my needs, I'll be doing a lot of the food from my stuff. I have a refrigerator and a stove, so I'll be providing the food and doing it myself. They have activities. They have newsletters that will give you ideas about what's going on, calendar events, and stuff like that that you could choose to be involved in or not be involved in. It's local to me as far as my church and where I can go. I have all of the surrounding things that I need as if I was living in my own home. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. They have a post office inside, so I can get my mail delivered to the facility as opposed to going to the post office, and I was happy about that, too. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice. He was a very good guy. He was very informative.

We went to Alexander Heights, and we liked it very much. It’s the facility closest to my daughter. The apartment was very nice. It had a washer and dryer, a kitchen, one bedroom, and entrance to the bath from two different places. The price was average. They had recreation rooms, and everything about it was nice.

Alexander Heights was the only place that had a handicapped apartment available. The people there are nice enough. But the price is so high, and my mother is on social security. She'll have to use the money from selling her house to live there because it's so high. It's $1,400 for a 2-bedroom. The place is nice and beautiful. They have a pool and exercise room, which wouldn't do her any good because she's in a wheelchair. But it's the only place that has a handicapped accessible bathroom. It's a beautiful place. It's just so expensive. They have washers and dryers in the apartment. As far as what they offer, the handicapped apartment is wonderful. They just don't have enough. They only have 4, and they have 146 units. So there's a waiting list for people who want a wheelchair accessible.
