I thought the price at Emilia Assisted Living Home was reasonable. The main contact person, Emilia herself, was adaptable and communicative. She was upfront about everything and was very helpful with all of the paperwork and everything that we needed to get done. She was doing a great job and I did a tour of her house as well. My grandfather was Indian, so he had special meal preparation and stuff, but one of the health care providers or helpers there was more than happy to make sure the meals would have been prepared for my grandfather. That was very important to us, and that was one of the things that drew me in initially to take a tour of Emilia Assisted Living. They had six or seven residents and they have room for just one or two more. That's the thing I liked about it, it didn't feel like a hospital or a huge corporate place. It was run like a second home and everything was very cozy, the floor plan was open. So there wouldn't have any risk of neglect like someone falling and they didn't know about it.

We had an in-person tour of Emilia Assisted Living Home, and it was okay. The room was very tiny, and my mother would have had to share a bathroom, which wouldn't have worked for her. The grounds were lovely. It looked like there was plenty of room, but it just didn't have the same nice feel as the other facility. They seemed very nice. The people that we talked to liked it there.
