My brother moved into BeeHive Homes of Spanish Fork, and he likes it himself. He made the choice himself. I speak to the staff once in a while, and they seem to be cooperative and useful. My brother seems to like the staff. They are communicative and friendly. The food seems to be good. They have some game playing and socializing. It's not near restaurants. But it's not too far from the hospital my brother was at about six months ago. The facility seems to be orderly and well-kept.

I have been visiting the Spanish Fork Beehive home for years, and it is not the loving atmosphere it used to be. The residents used to be gathered together in the front room enjoying games, visits, and activities. The staff used to be faithful and constant with someone always in the kitchen and someone always taking residents on walks and encouraging them to come join the activities. A third person took care of other needs. Then it was bought by a new owner. Now the residents keep to their rooms, and a feeling of gloom hangs about the place. The old faithful staff has been replaced by younger people, and there is a much higher turnover. There seems to be two staff members on site, one in the office and one in the kitchen, and I hear many more complaints about the food than I used to. Unfortunately, it still may be better than many facilities available.

Our Mom has been in the Beehive home in Spanish Fork for about a year and half. They recently changed owners and the new owners are working quite hard to update the facility and make the rooms larger with an updated kitchen and dining area. Mom receives good care there. There were quite a few older ladies that worked there and they have now been replaced with younger employees which made us a little concerned but so far they seem fairly responsible although I have caught them on their cells phones a couple of time. New construction is always hard on residents but we are excited for the changes as we believe it will be much more cheery inside when it is completed. The owners seem approachable with our suggestions and invite us to contact them if anything is needed. Kristin, the office manager is doing a great job of keeping us informed of things. The cost is reasonable compared to other facilities and this "home" type environment is best for our Mom. They are also very good to invite and include my Dad in anything that is going on and invite him to eat dinner there quite often. Mom never complains about the food and from what I have seen, it looks very nutritious and appetizing. I am glad they encourage religious services on Sunday as these residents need that. They are starting to do more field trips with the residents and I think they really enjoy that. My 4 star rating is only because of the turn around in employees as we are still getting used to the new ones.

This is a nice cozy facility, with a ten occupant capacity. The best part about this facility, besides the excellent staff, is the location. It is located in a nice, low key area, only a few blocks away from several parks. Several of the residents love taking field trips to the park so they can walk around it. With the way some of these residents have taken to walking"”due primarily to their jaunts in the park"”you'd think they were training for a walking marathon. I think some could even out walk me. They probably get more exercise and fresh air than anybody I know. It's good to see them so bright-eyes and rosy cheeked after one of their walks. They look very healthy.
