My parents have moved into Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy. I toured six places in Utah and the people there were a big plus because they were very caring. The actual people that lived there were a big factor in it, too, because they were like a community there. It's a nice place. They keep it very, very clean, and they run it well. I was impressed. The staff does a really good job, and they care about the people that live there. The placement director is pretty amazing; I like her. We met the administrator and some of the staff, too. I tried their food but that was just one meal. It wasn't the greatest, but that was one meal. The activities are really good. They have a variety of different things they do like movies, exercise classes, crafts, games, and musical concerts. There's just a lot of variety there. The physical appearance is very nice. I think it opened up in 2019 and they keep it nice.

My dad will be moving in at Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy in December. We thought that the people that run it were very professional and very, very nice. We thought the facility was very clean. And we just really liked the services that they offered. We saw that they had extracurricular things. They bring music in and they have games for the residents. They have crafts and other extracurricular things for them to do. We liked the rooms. We picked a studio for our dad first because they didn't have any 1-bedrooms available. But he's on the list and as soon as they have a one-bedroom available, we'll move him to a 1-bedroom.

My grandmother is in Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy. They all are very friendly. They know every resident by name; they know the family members by name. They all seem to really care about the residents. When we went initially we had a free meal to try, but not during Covid. The meal was not the best food I ever had, but the kitchen manager just retired this week. They hired somebody new. It is bright and open, cheerful and clean, and smells good. There is a piano for people to play. There is a private dining room and a playground outside for grandchildren that come and visit. We moved in right before Covid hit, so we have not explored much. They do activities every day: bingo, exercise class, pizza parties, and even during Covid, they would take stuff to each resident individually for them to have like an ice cream party from home. It is a good value. It is the most expensive in our area by far, but we think it is worth it.

Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy was absolutely beautiful. It's like living in a five-star hotel, and it's brand new. The apartments were roomy, open, and wonderful. The dining area was like eating in a restaurant. They have linen napkins, tablecloths, and leather menus on the tables. It makes you feel like you're living in luxury. They also have memory care there just in case. They're still building the staff because they're new, but the ones we met were amazing. They have outside areas that are to die for. It was like being in your backyard. The patio was amazing. They have putt-putt golf, a basketball hoop, and places to grow things.
