Incline at Anthem is a 55 year and older community for older and mostly retired people. The community has about four levels, all pretty wide and spacious for wheelchair accessibility and walkers. The lowest they do is like six months lease terms per year and my friend is on a six-month lease there right now. It seems like he's enjoying it. They're all friendly and if he ever needs something, they're pretty quick to fix it or install anything that he needs in his apartment. Like handles or things that help him be more mobile and walk around. So it's a great community. I go there to help him out so I'm experiencing it as well, it's a good place. You bring food, they don't serve food or anything like that, but they have a lobby where you can sit with friends or family if you bring it. They usually have an activity every week, or they have a movie night, bingo, or they'd have a food truck that comes by. So they have quite a few different options and something every week planned to get the tenants together and get to know each other. Some stores and businesses come in and sell stuff periodically too. My friend lives in a 1-bedroom, it's pretty open and you walk into the kitchen and living room. It's pretty much like a circle, you go into the bedroom that connects the closet, laundry room, and bathroom right back to the kitchen. Their maintenance is pretty good, if there's something wrong, they get on it to get it fixed and figured out. It's a newer facility, so it's pretty nice. The rent is a pretty low price.

I have found a place and it's called Incline at Anthem. I can't say too much because it's COVID. It's nice. I chose it because I could afford it. It's a little over a mile from where my sister lives, so I have been able to spend some good quality time with her. The staff members are very nice, very wonderful, and very helpful. The facility is beautiful. It's wonderful. All I have to do is put my garbage can outside and it is emptied outside my door in the hall. They come most every day, too. That's just cool. I don't have to walk to the garbage with my garbage can. I enjoy that. However, for people that are on lockers, they don't have a button to push to open the doors if you're coming in from the outside or going out or whatever. I'm halfway moved in now; I'm still unpacking boxes. We're having a barbecue on Sunday afternoon. There are barbecue pits that are here for anyone who wants to use them and they're doing a barbecue. However, someone tested positive for COVID, so there has not been anything for a couple of weeks now. We're just coming out of our self-quarantine here. Right before I moved here, they made wreaths for the front door, and that was a lot of fun. I had not moved in yet, but I just spoke to different people and it was a really fun activity. The location is in the new part of the valley, so there is green all over. That obviously would be nice.
