I am a resident of Country Club Retirement Community Assisted Living. They're all alike and it depends on their location as to the price. They have a courtyard and their own space in the courtyard, and the ones to the front are a little higher than the ones at the back but they all have a little patio. We have a pretty good-sized kitchen. We have a microwave and then some of them have a dining room, a small dining table, and chairs in there. Then the living area which is big in my bedroom. The apartments are very spacious. We have a window and we have our own individual air and ceiling fans, and then we have the back door out to our patio. Each room has its own air and heat and a ceiling fan. Then when you come into the kitchen, we have a little pantry and a little pantry closet. You have your lavatory and the countertop, and a big walking closet. The rooms are very spacious. It has a computer set up, some of them have their own. The best area is separate. You have your commode and walk in the shower. We have our meals. There is a sunroom with couches where you can sit and read. We have a big exercise room and we also do bingo and games. We have a hairdresser. If you want to do your laundry, there is no charge. We have two washers and a dryer. We have a church and on Sunday morning we have a regular preacher and at 4:00 on Sunday afternoon, ministerial alliance. They rotate and we have them. They bring music. The staff is very good, very caring. The food is good. They usually give us a choice. The building is nice and it's very clean.

My brother chose Country Club Retirement Community Assisted Living. It's close to where he lives and he wanted to stay in that area. The rooms were nice, clean, and roomy. You had the living area, a dinette, and your bedroom. The bathroom was really big, and it had shelving and I think it was a double sink. It's got a walk-in type shower, so it was nice. It got a door to the outside, so they can go outside. You don't have to go through the building to get to an outside door. The staff was there to help. They're polite, nice, and informative. Some of the people that we talked to seemed to be in good spirits. They had a courtyard, a visiting room, a dining room, and a kitchen area. They have a laundry place where you can get your laundry done. They had a beauty shop and a hair salon for men and women. It was out in the country. You're not in a crowded area, so it was pretty nice.

My sister is in an assisted living facility called Country Club Retirement Community. Her room is like an efficiency apartment. The staff is very good. She's been there since October 2018, so I am very familiar with all the staff members. I usually visit her daily. They do puzzles, they have outside people come in and do biblical devotionals a couple of times a week, they do bingo once a week, and they have some other activities like painting and making stuff by hands. Not too long ago, they were making flowers with a variety of products. They use them as decorations in some of the individual rooms. The food is pretty good. Given what their primary mission is, they do very well. My sister is an exception to staying there because I had to hire all these people to take care of her. The staff has changed substantially over time that my sister has been there. They have had three directors, they have numerous folks that do medication, and they have a couple of different cooks. The current director is pretty awesome. They're very responsive to things that need to be repaired or replaced. My sister's room needed an air conditioner, and they took a unit from a vacant room and replaced it the same day. There's a guy on staff that does maintenance and he's super. He's great.

I went to the Country Club Retirement Community Assisted Living. My father wanted to stay in Whitney, Texas, and he's qualified for assisted living, so that was the main reason we chose it. It's also very convenient to where he lives now, his doctors and everything. It's a really nice community. It gives him a little bit more freedom where he can still be as independent as possible. He has his own little apartment home, someone comes in and checks every two hours, but it's not like a nursing home where he's being nursed. We were treated really well, and they're obviously COVID conscious. I saw three different rooms. I went back a second time to choose, I went back the third time and took my father, and he chose the room that he wanted, so it was a really neat process. I would highly recommend the place.
