This place is now called Webster Residence and Rehabilitation. My husband stayed here for 8 days for respite care..he came back with open bed sores and he looked like he lost a substantial amount of weight. I had his care giver stopped my a couple of times. Every times she stopped by he was in a wet brief. CNA at the nursing facility never enter his room to check on him for at least 3 hours..probably longer. They also moved his call button so it was out of his reach. They never changed his clothes or brush his teeth..So I was paying $200/day for them to basically leave him laying in bed.

NOT EVEN A ONE STAR>>>>>DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY IN THIS FACILITY. My mother was admitted on a Friday for Stroke rehab, she has a chronic diabetic condition requiring insulin, the staff decided to change her insulin protocol, Staff did NOT give her insulin nor did they monitor her blood sugar, in 22 hours after being in this facility my Mother is not hospitalized and could have died had I not been there and call an ambulance. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY.

I wouldn’t take mother back to ManorCare Health Services. The place was a dump. Everything is broken, and it’s in horrible repair. You had to bang on the light to get it to come on. The dining area was horrible; the residents in assisted and the ones that could go in by themselves all ate in one area. It was horrible food, horrible service, and a horrible atmosphere. It was $1500 a month more than where she’s at now, but I did like her doctor. She was there a long time, long enough to be dropped by her insurance. I got a prescription bill for $2300 for one month, and they didn’t advise me that I needed to get her on Medicare. Never was there a care plan meeting. They moved her to another wing where there was no therapy, and while she was there, she got pneumonia again. The a/c could not be controlled; it was too cold. I went back a week later. She was still in that room freezing to death. I was freezing to death, and after a fit, they moved her.

Don't ever even think about dropping a kitten in Manorcare. They had a lot of people going into septic shock. They have wet patients. They were so wet they were about to float away. You can smell the urine reeking all over the building. I'm saying this from firsthand experience. My mother went into septic shock because they did not change out her Foley. The nurse to patient ratio there is horrible. I would not recommend anybody there. My mom was there for about two months. I had to call their director of nursing and call their administrator because, although it wasn't my mother, it was other people's family members that were in there soaking wet. They were so wet that it turned a navy blue to black. Dripping wet, urine coming down squeezing out of their diapers. There are people asking for help, and no one's paying them any attention. There was no one helping the patients to eat and no one assisting them. It was very sad. It was just awful there. The nurse to patient ratio was bad. Every patient there has developed bedsores, and they don't have wound care. The nurse that was there to take care of the patient was a spectacular young lady, but she could not take all the patients by herself. It's absolutely a no-go. They can improve on everything, the administration, more manpower, more nurses, customer service training, proper etiquette, and caring hands in the building.

I did a fast walk around because I didn't like my initial feeling when I went in ManorCare. I just didn't like the feeling. It's a feeling I got when I walked in, and I didn't like it. The staff was busy when I walked in. They were helpful, and they did follow up with a phone call. But I just wasn't interested, so we didn't have a long conversation. The place was on a busy street. It was a dreary day, so it was dreary inside. It wasn't an open layout.

Please do not place a loved one in this place. They are always extremely short staffed and my mother was always left in bed. She developed contractures and bedsores. She was admitted for rehabilitation to go home. I made it a point to visit on off hours and was amazed at the difference in the lack of care and constant shortages. Patients that can't feed themselves are left to watch the other patients eat.

ManorCare was close to home, and it was also rated very high that is why we chose it for my dad, but our experience wasn’t that very good, and I had to move him out. He got really bad bed sores on his heel, and I had to send him out to the hospital so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
