My husband with sepsis and dementia received superior care at Kindred Clear Lake. What impressed me the most is that not only did he receive great care from the doctors and nurses but everyone was so helpful and kind. I was so impressed with the techs, dietary, kitchen, case management, therapists, receptionist, etc. I would highly recommend Kindred Clear Lake. Linda H.

The rehab professionals are excellent. The nursing staff is friendly. Little frustrating that my Father in law fell 3 or 4 times while there. Felt like we could never get any of our questions answered. Our case manger was Wyona. She was terrible!!!! Would not answer any questions. Down to asking how far away a city was! She would just look at us and say I don't know. She would speak with the one brother that had no POA as well as the other but not with us. We asked to be contacted when my FIL was being transferred, of course we never heard anything. We asked her to fill out some paperwork from the SSA that the SSA said she would be the one to fill out, she had never seen it before and would not fill it out. We asked about some nursing homes that she recommended and she knew nothing about them, just simply said I asked a friend and they said they were good. We are the POA for my FIL and dealing with this from afar. So when we visit, we have to do everything for him while there. It would be nice if you felt like someone was trying to be helpful or understanding. SHE WAS AWFUL! There is another woman there, that seemed to be very sweet, unfortunately she was not our Case Manager. Dr Lee was his DR while there too, he was not helpful either. He was a bit calloused and condescending. We would just ask the nurses our questions since they were the ones that spent more time with our FIL.

My mother-in-law had been in Kindred Rehab at Clear Lake. The place was excellent, clean, and very orderly. I liked the staff. The food smelled and looked good; she hated it, but I have yet to see her like the food in any hospital, and she has been in a lot.

Kindred was the best place. I liked the motivation, the part that they got to do exercises about three times a day, basically being just consistent in doing that to get her motivated to want to do it, because she started walking when she got over there. The rooms were nice, very up-to-date, and modern. I did not try the food, but my mother said that the food was a little better where she is right now. They washed everything, and they brought it back; we never had anything missing. They got her back to walking, and they were excellent in getting back with me.

The only facility that Charles has been to is Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital, but that’s when he came out of the hospital. It’s fantastic; one of the very best around. It has great nursing and great facilities. They stay in touch with the family; they let you know what’s going on. They will give you updates. There is always somebody manning the telephones; you can go in at anytime. I could not express my gratitude to the people there.

Kindred Rehab is wonderful. They work miracles with Gala -- my cousin -- and the staff is so great. The quality is just the best. He does a lot of natural treatment and supplements. It is just the best in the world; I am very pleased with the services there. They are doing very well. I would recommend anyone to take their loved one that’s trying to recovery from a stroke there. They are very good in what they do, and I am very pleased with their work. Dr. Clark is very knowledgeable.
