My mom is at Regent Care Center of the Woodlands. That's the only one I went to because it came highly recommended by a friend who had her mother there. I toured it, liked it, and put my mom there. It's clean, and when I toured it with my friend, she had her mother in that facility. Her mother died in 2005, and there were several workers that still remembered her, so they retained their employees, and I was impressed with that. The staff have been great. In terms of activities, there's an activity center there, and there are things to do, but my mom can't do any of them. There is a hair salon there if you want to get your hair done. There is a little workout room where you can do some physical therapy. They have a TV room where you can go and watch TV with other people if you want. The place is clean. For the location, I think the value is fine.

My elderly mother was in this facility after surgery for a broken hip. During her stay for rehabilitation, they lost her dentures and are refusing to replace them. I can't get past the receptionist to speak to the administrator. I've called 4 times and left messages and no one returns my calls. The administrator had the receptionist tell me they are not responsible for my mother's dentures. She wouldn't even talk to me herself. In addition to losing her dentures, they also let her fall twice during her 6 week stay.

On several occasions my mom stayed at other healthcare facilities in The Woodlands area, before I considered Regent Care Center of The Woodlands. I was looking for a place where my mom would receive the medical attention needed, in a well kept and clean place, by engaged staff, committed to patient's well being. Regent Care Center of The Woodlands became the perfect place. Regent's staff is proficient, caring and works well as a team. They treat patients like family. When I visited and asked about my mom, staff was available to give details about how she was doing, demonstrating they were focusing and keeping track of their patients. The rooms, restrooms and general areas were well kept and always clean. You didn't get the sense you were in a hospital setting. The staff made sure my mom was always comfortable and participated in activities her condition allowed. After our prior experiences at healthcare facilities, I honestly was not expecting the level or care and attention my mom received at this facility. I would recommend anyone to take their loved one to this facility.

Regent Care Center of the Woodlands didn't have bathrooms in the rooms. You have to share one with another person, which has a hallway in between. The rooms were also small. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our questions.

My Mother was in Regent 8-31 to 9-9-2015 as she was not eating and became very weak. Regent took excellent care of her to get her back on her feet. The same weakness has sent her to the hospital and rehab again. As we had such a good experience with Regent last year mom is going back to Regent again. Believe me if Regent was not to my high standards I would not let my precious mother return to Regent a 2nd time.

They have a good staff at Regent Care Woodlands. They really do. They're wonderful. Even the housekeeper is so good and caring. Everyone as you pass by would tell you good morning or hello or ask "Can I help you?" The rooms are nice and comfortable. They even have a little lock box there. That was something new, and I thought that was nice. And they have fresh lemonade out every day. So that was good. The food is OK, but I think they need to cut it up more for the people. My mother can't cut with a knife and fork, so I would go every day to make sure at meal time I cut up her food. And she is now at the point where I just mix it all together. It's a very nice and clean community. I didn't find anything wrong with that community at all.

My mother stayed at Regent Care Center after she was hospitalized with pneumonia. She had been in other nursing homes and Regent Care Center was by far the best. It was always clean. The therapy was excellent and the nurses and CNAS were always friendly and helpful. When she was ready to go home, everything was taken care of to make the transition as easy as possible. I would recommend Regent Care Center to anyone looking for therapy or long term care.

My dad stayed in Regent Care Center for quite a few months off and on during 2009. He passed away while under their care this past October. My brothers, one living in another state and the other on a busy work schedule, were not there on a regular basis to see the care he WAS NOT receiving. I could go into details, but I won't. I saw numerous other instances of neglect as I walked down the halls of the Regent Care Center. I blame neglect for my father's untimely death. I did all I could when I realized what was happening, but I guess I was a little late in realizing the problems going on at the facility. Regent Care Center is nothing more than an over-priced human storage where wealthy relatives can assuage thier own conscience by leaving their elderly "loved"ones to live out their days in neglect. In many cases I saw and know of it could be compared to the old slogan for the Roach Motel, "they may check in, but they never check out." Needless to say, I wouldn't trust them to look after my dog for a day, much less a human being.
