I toured Sodalis Temple. Roy, the representative that I ran into, was already communicating with me a little bit before I even showed up there. He gave me the code to the door so I could come in. He was there and greeted me when I came in. He worked in the assisted living industry for a long time. So he was very polished. He gave me a lot more information. He was very informative about the facility, the home, and everything that goes on. He was in tune with what was going on, and the people who lived there knew him very well. He seemed to be a respected member of the staff and things of that sort. They had a big renovation at the location, which is good. Roy said they put a lot of money into upgrading the facility. It was very clean and modern-looking. It's a much larger facility and it felt more hotel-like, I guess just based on the size. Roy showed us one of the menus and said the residents had a choice of what they wanted to eat for that particular day. They could circle what they liked, and then that's what they served. So, I thought that it was nice that they had a choice of food meal items for the day.

I toured Sodalis Temple. The personnel were very nice. I can't think of anything that I dislike. They had a waiting list, that was the only thing, but it was nice. The facility was very clean, organized, and welcoming. Everybody seemed happy and pleasant, and it's like they had a lot going on for the residents.

I had an in-person tour of Sodalis Temple. They are very friendly there. The facility is very clean. They have very good menus for meals. They have people there to take care of you. Overall, I just fell in love with it. The rooms were small, but there'll be enough room for me. The lady who took me on a tour was very nice. I saw them going into the dining area to be served. It's a beautiful setup. Everything they have is very well kept. It's expensive.

I visited Sodalis Temple. The tour was fantastic. The place was excellent, the staff was amazing, and it looked like a very nice place to be. It was one of the ones on our list of considerations. I liked that they could also transition over as it got worse. I'm not really sure why, but the staff seemed colder than the other places I toured. The facility has the things that would be needed, but there weren't any frills or extras for sure. They had a courtyard and the cleanliness of the facility was wonderful. It looked like a high-end hotel. It's located about 15 minutes away from the hospital.

When I got to Sodalis Temple, the admissions director was not available yet, and she had done a home visit, so I met with the executive director, who is new to the facility, so his knowledge of the facility was not as much as the other place. It's a very nice facility. It had nicer rooms, and all of the rooms have been updated. I really liked the room better, but the overall common areas were not as updated. I just really felt like they were missing the piece of the treatment plan. My mother-in-law suffered from COVID, and she's lost a lot of the daily life activity functions being in a nursing home, and so the fact that the other facility included a treatment plan, including home health and devised a whole plan for her, I just really felt like that would be better for us, whereas Sodalis was missing that piece, because I did not meet with a nurse. The rooms were really nice. The common areas were older. The dining area was very nice. As long as they were vaccinated, they could sit together. They offered delivery of meals to the room if the patients were quarantined or not feeling well at no additional fee, and I thought that was nice. Although there were a lot of residents present yesterday, there weren't any activities going on at the time that I toured. There were a lot sitting in the dining room just talking. I saw the community area, and I met that the activities director that prepares the activities, but there weren't any going on. They had a lot of boxes and things in the way, so I'm not sure how much they use that room. It looked more to be storage for me.

My brother will be moving into Elmcroft of Cottonwood. I liked it better than the other place we visited. It had a better atmosphere, and it also had a better way of paying financially. It's more expensive, but they don't do the tiered stuff, which I liked because I don't want to be surprised every month by how much I have to pay. I was pleased with it. I virtually toured some places, and this is one of the only two places that actually let me in the building. We chose Elmcroft because it had a better atmosphere, and it seemed more open. They had activities, their food looked better, they had more activities for people, they were cleaner, and it didn't smell. It looked more like an apartment building and not like a nursing home. The people who showed me around were great, as was the executive director. The staff I met in the hall was very nice as well. I was not able to try the food, but it smelled good, and the menu looked good. The other residents said the food was good.

Worst place EVER.!!! IT made me give a rating. If I could , it would have negative stars.. They did not take care of my dad as thwu should have, and increaesd the rate for nursing care. What nursing care??? What a joke Hospice found him in horrible condition more than once, and they didn't call hospice when there were incidents that should have been reported. Rollover in management in the time my daddy was there was incredible. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS FACILITY FOR YOUR LOVED ONES!!!!!!

Elmcroft of Cottonwood was a very excellent place. I liked the way they talked and offered things. It's an older facility but, it's next to a shopping mall, and it's much more geared toward assisted living than independent living. They accept pets, and they're very pleasant people to work with. The staff member was knowledgeable and answered my questions easily. It's only one level, and it would be very good for someone who wanted a smaller facility with more individual care.

The apartments at Elmcroft of Cottonwood were more like closets. They were small compared to what my parents are accustomed to in their home. The staff was friendly. The grounds were immaculate. The buildings were well maintained and the hallways and cafeterias were very nice. The people who worked there seemed very friendly. Overall, it was a very nice place. They have activities and they have a place where you can go and get your hair done. I liked that their pricing is all-inclusive. If you want somebody present while you're taking a bath, that's part of the price. You arrange in advance if you need to ride in their van to doctors appointments, to stores, or to restaurants. Someone will come and clean your apartment, do the laundry once a week, take out the trash, help with the medication, and make sure they're taking their meds. They have a doctor who's responsible for the community and professionals like RNs, and physical and occupational therapists.

Elmcroft of Cottonwood is a very comfortable and friendly community. My mother says the food is excellent, and she is very happy with all the people. It's not real large, so the staff members know all the people there. The staff is very knowledgeable and intertwined, so several people are in the know of things and if they don't know, they will direct me to where I need to go. They have a lot of activities, but she doesn't participate in anything.

Elmcroft of Cottonwood was very nice. I didn't care for the room as much because the one they had available was behind the beauty shop and laundry area, and it felt like a utility room. They had great activities, and the staff was very nice. They had assigned seating at dinner and lunch, which was kind of weird. I didn't care for the courtyard area because the sidewalks were uneven and my dad has a walker, so it might be difficult for him to maneuver and become a hazard for him. It was very nice but didn't suit us.

I like the size of Elmcroft of Cottonwood. It is pretty small compared to those that we looked at, and I liked the way that it looked. It kind of has a cottage-y look. I just thought that it would be the best fit for my mom, and this is what she chose also. It is an older property, but it is good. They have a library, but no pool or chapel. They have Bingo and crafts, and they go out to restaurants and shopping and that kind of thing. My mother said the food is pretty good.

Elmcroft of Cottonwood is a nice place. My brother really likes it and is very impressed with the place, the staff, and the apartment he is living in. It has a library room, and they take trips to Walmart.

We did not like Elmcroft, and it looked old. The staff was OK. I did not notice any activities, but I think there was a group meeting going on. The location was better because it was closer to my son.

My aunt is in Elmcroft of Cottonwood, and it’s nice. The only bad thing that my aunt says is that sometimes they don’t come right away when she calls for a shower or to help her out. The staff seem to be nice, pleasant people. They play bingo, and my aunt told me about physical therapy, arts and crafts, birthday parties, and entertainment on certain days. My aunt’s room is kind of small but adequate. The place is very nice and quiet. I guess they should have a few more employees to be able to give more one-on-one time with the patients.

Elmcroft were able to address all of our questions. They were very knowledgeable and explained all of the fees. From the outside it, appeared to be a very nice facility.

The rooms were very nice, and there were not enough staff to help when she had problems that she needed help with at night, but otherwise during the day they were just really nice, and they did a good job with her. She was happy that we actually tried taking her back home after she was there because she seemed to be doing so much better, and then we had in-home care that we just paid for privately to come in and help her; then, she deteriorated more. It was a studio room, it had a mini fridge, little cabinet, a bathroom, and one open space, and she thought it was adequate I think. It was big enough to have a couple in there to visit. Elmcroft was homey with private little alcoves where you could read a book or have family visiting and still have privacy in a larger area. The management there was awesome too.

I really didn’t care about Elmcroft of Cottonwood. It had an aura of a nursing home to it more than independent living. It had a smell, it was gloomy, and I wasn’t impressed with it at all. I didn’t see people being active around there.

Elmcroft is geared towards making the best out of each person’s life from what I’ve seen. They have a really good program geared towards keeping the seniors active and doing things, so I really fell in love with the place. This place is not fancy whatsoever. Simple rooms -- nothing but a little fridge, a sink and a bathroom. Very clean as far as the rooms. Highly recommended. They have restaurant-style dining, they do really well on their cooking, and everybody gets to choose what they want. They have lots of activities. Very caring, very friendly. The staff is really amazing. It’s the people there that make it, not the place.

The staff at Elmcroft of Cottonwood was wonderful. However, the rooms were not nearly as nice as at the other facility I visited. They had just efficiency kitchens, and that would not have met my brother's requirement at all. Nevertheless, if my brother needed assisted living, I would consider this place more. I like best their staff. They were very personable and helpful in any way that they could be. We were shown the cafeteria. The dining room was very spacious with very nice dining tables, etc. It was very clean. The staff there again was very friendly. They showed us the menu, and it seemed to be very varied.

I thought Elmcroft was nice, and I liked the management I spoke with. I didn't think that the facility and the size were a good fit for my parents and their personalities. However, from what I saw it was nice, and the rooms that I saw were clean.

Elmcroft was good. They were very courteous about giving us information and advice on what to be looking for. But we prefer a smaller community, and it didn't feel quite as homey. The rooms were very nice. They were a little bit more expensive.

My mother lived there and i could not have been happier. There are so many caring people here and the staff really took excellent care of mom. I love the director there "Bennie" and the nurse Irene. I visited there a week ago to see moms friends and it is more lovely than before.Everything looks new. Of all the places we checked for mom, the staff here are the Best. I missed them so much as they became family. Also Amanda is also a greaqt nurse also.

The place is wonderful. Food is great. the staff is attentive and caring. My mom is there now and she likes it a lot after being alonefor 6 years on a farm. She enjoys the activities and the companionship of others. The thing that impresses us the most is the staff is the same as when she went there 2 years ago. -- we have gotten to know the caregivers. How great it that!!
