My dad is a resident of Trucare Selma. It's been a wonderful facility. It is clean. The staff are very responsive. I have no complaints. My dad's 87 with dementia. He might have a few complaints because he thinks the whole world is against him, but he's doing well there. They have game nights. They have religious ceremonies where they can attend, like, church services. They also have field trips. They can go on field trips to different places. They have a movie night and they'll have popcorn. Every month that I go there, they have some sort of theme, like in San Antonio, we just finished with the summer fiesta. So the entire facility is decorated with fiesta-like balloons and pinatas. This last week, they were doing a bake sale to raise money for Alzheimer's care. I think it's a wonderful facility. They do have an outside contractor that comes in to do the food service, and they give the residents a menu. They get to choose from a selection of food that they want for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So if they don't have a family member that will help them pick their choices, they usually have a staff member to help them do that. They are a little bit less than some other facilities that I did not find to be very attractive.

My dad is a resident of Trucare Selma. It's a very nice community. The staff is nice. The nurses, my dad has no issues with any of them. They'll get back to you if you have any questions, so they're pretty good. Their food, my dad doesn't complain about anything because he's on a special diet, so he ate it. They do have an indoor chapel for them. It's a cute facility. My dad, every time I go visit him, he's not in the same spot. He's running around socializing because that's how he is. He's very entertained there. The facility is nice and clean. I haven't had any issues, so if my dad says something I'll bring it up to their attention, just to let them know, but other than that it's in an overall good location. They have an activity board, like a really large one for anybody to see what their daily activity is going to be. They do outings, they go to Walmart, they go to dollar stores. They go to the zoo or pet store, things like that. It keeps them entertained and does not feel like they're just insulating in the building. It keeps them active. They even have an art room. They even watch movies. They have movie nights inside the facility though, not outside. They have Facebook online, so I get to see my dad every morning. He's in the pictures there. It's worth having him there.

My mother is a resident of TruCare Living Centers Selma. They're giving her the services that she needs, which right now is pretty much everything. They help her change her clothes and they are giving her some rehab, so I'm pretty satisfied with it right now. She's in a semi-private room. She shares it with another lady and it's going well. Nice and warm. The accommodations are comfortable. They do have activities. Like the other day with the Super Bowl, they had a little Super Bowl party for them with some food. They have a TV room, and they also have movie days.

My husband was in TruCare Living Place for a couple of weeks. It was good. They're fairly new; I noticed that they were still staffing when we were there. I didn't think they were doing the best they could do, but they seemed to have a very caring staff. I was very impressed with one nurse who really took time with me when I felt I needed to talk. The activities they offered would not really interest my husband, but he is not very social anyway. They do a good job with physical therapy. My husband is still going to physical therapy there on an outpatient basis.
