I recently transferred my mom from another facility to this one and was admittedly feeling apprehensive about making such change, but I'm happy to say I've been more than pleased. Everyone from admissions to the nursing staff have exhibited the utmost professionalism and shown tremendous kindness throughout my mom's time here. They have also provided my family with much needed guidance and helped us make well informed decisions for my mom's care.

Wurzbach Nursing & Rehab was a little old, rundown, and dirty. I only toured the memory care facility and it looked like a mental hospital. They claimed they have activities that they do all day long, but when they took me into the activity area, everybody was just sitting around with nothing on the tables. Nobody was talking. People were just staring at the floor and the ceiling. The rooms looked like a typical hospital room. It was dirty. Nothing on the walls. The staff were very helpful and very nice though. I had no complaints about them.

Trisun Care Center Wurzbach is pretty old, but the people who take care of the patients are very nice, and they seem to care a lot for my father. They're pretty consistent because it's the same people all the time. I'd like it if they had a better bed or better equipment. They do exercises in the morning, like sit and be fit, and Bingo. They play movies too, and musicians perform for them on the weekends. The dining area is OK, but the whole place needs a facelift.

I went to this facility to find out more about it for my mother. It was a bit hard to get into it, as its located on a busy road, (Wurzbach), but aftter I got in there its a nice, pretty clean facility. They have a neat courtyard and gazebo, and it seemed the residents were enjoying themselves as well. My initial thoughts were that this may be a place for my mom when she gets to the point she needs quite a bit of supervision, but not much on the being a independent living home. One thing I liked as well is they have a ala carte menu that residents can order from. I will be looking for something else that my mom can stay in and be independent still, but I will keep this one in mind very much for the future.
