I will never take a loved one to this facility. The only good thing I have to say is the wound care nurse was very caring and professional. The nursing staff, are more concerned with sitting at the desk messing with their phones and act inconvenienced by your needs or questions. My husband was there for less than 48 hours. I told the staff that he has an appointment on the second day and asked them to arrange for transport. The CNA I worked with on this was rude and initially said I would have to take my husband, but I made it clear I could not physically do that since my husband had been in a hospital Bed for 2 months. I was then told they would schedule him to go by ambulance. On day 2 I show up to ride with My husband in the ambulance to the appointment. The driver showed up and no one from the facility was prepared. The CNA in charge of my husband could not be located. I tell another CNA we need to get him in the ambulance, only to find out there is no ambulance and he would be going in a wheelchair in a transport van. The CNA couldn’t figure out how to get my husband from the bed to the wheelchair, so the transport driver had to do it. When we arrived at the doctors office the doctor could not get a blood pressure or oxygen read on my husband. EMS was called and his blood pressure was 85 over 55, so he was transported to the hospital. I went back to Windemere later to get my husbands things and told them what had happened. I asked if tgey had taken his blood pressure that morning and they told me it was 87/55. I was in shock that no one thought that to be a low blood pressure and they proceeded with loading him up in the wheelchair knowing his blood pressure was dangerously low. I was told someone would be calling me to discuss the incident, but nobody ever did. I did get a call while my husband was in the hospital asking if I would be bringing him back there. I explained I would not and why I would not. I then asked if they would be looking into the matter again. The response was “I will look into it, but hopefully things did not occur as you are describing”. I told her I can assure her that they did, in fact, occur exactly as described. I never heard from intone regarding this incident and I consider it neglect.

My family member was there for 1 month. Bad experience. Seven days amount of clothing were dropped off and it took 10 days for someone to find them. She was in a hospital gown for those first 10 days. On our first visit , were told we could see our relative thru the window. When we arrived, I called and was told by staff to go to the window of room 509. I was like really there are no room numbers on the outside windows. We made a total of 4 calls and after 20 minutes we finally found our relative. When our relative was discharged this past Saturday I was instructed to pick a time and they would be ready. We called when we arrived. Well after a 30 minute wait. We called back, the person who answered stated oh I didn't know they had taken her up front. Finally she came out. In her nightgown and not cleaned. Food on her clothing. Clothes thrown in a bag with an open bottle of a liquid substance that spilled in the bag. Not all clothes were returned and had no shoes on. I was very upset. I made a complaint to the gentleman that was in charge.

My 90 year old mother has been there since the facility opened; she was one of the first to be a resident. The facility and rooms are beautiful. My mom is very demanding and the most of the staff is is very sweet and tolerate of her. Their patience of the most of the staff are beyond measure. I would rate them higher if all can be like most. All the activities are well organized and a lot of fun. My mom is very happy there...she does wish her breakfast would be sent hot. Lunch and dinner are good. The Administrators have turned over a few times but all have been absolutely wonderful and involved with the residence. Which is very different from other facilities my mom has been to.

My mother has dementia and stage 4 stomach and liver cancer. We were told she needed rehabilitation the facility rep went to hospital and evaluated her stated to me they had trained nurses in ostomy care and were trained in encouraging dementia patients. She was there only 2 days and I had a situation where we went in the evening around 5 pm found my mother with bile from bag on her skin and on bed I was told well this morning your mom was misbehaving so we left it and it isn't her bath day. I stayed bathed her and made them change bed, I recorded whole issue and they did nothing to staff and even though they told me those two nurses would no longer care for her when I went back 4th day same nurses. Long story short I took her out of there after only 7 days there and my mother ended up in hospital with bruises on back side and shoulder and totally dehydrated. Please don't ever take your loved ones there it was a horrible experience, no one showed any empathy for how she was treated.
