My husband is rehabilitating at the Remington Medical Resort San Antonio. It was a very good experience. They're very efficient and the place is very clean. He has a single room, it's a pretty place, and very clean. The room is more of a studio homey type. They have two gyms, one on each floor, workout places, the big room has different games in there that they can play, but they have no activities like the ones in his previous community. The staff is very good and Medicare takes care of the cost.

Facility is pretty but not a resort and does not give the aire of one. The day I visited the facility to see a friend the Administrator could be heard yelling for 40’ at a patient’s spouse. Who behaves Like this in the healthcare field. She needs help! If she couldn’t handle that lady she should’ve called for police to remove the lady. Instead she engaged her in a screaming match. so unprofessional and disgraceful. This same Administrator wears her clothes too tight and just looks unprofessional. My friends food was cold when it arrived. Her tray was 1.5 hours late arriving. The1 nurse had 15 patients and 4 admissions. Geez. seriously unsafe.

My father was admitted into this facility after suffering a minor stroke. The facility was supposed to help him get back on his feet and therapists/staff never tried to get him on his feet. My dad constantly complained of pain, and nurses never elevated his feet to avoid pressure of of them or to have circulation reach his feet. We complained to nurses several times about how abnormal his legs looked as they were turning deep purple, almost black. This was seen after careful expection as we changed out his socks or attire. They never once tried to do this on their own. They would gave us the run around that the doctor would check on it soon. Doctors would never show. He ended up getting transported to the hospital so late that everything joint below became bad tissue on his left leg because "we waited too long to do anything". This cost my father his leg, he just got it amputated last week. All because both nurses and staff failed in being attentive and failed to get him checked properly with time. I do not recommend this facility at all, do not be fooled by how clean and well maintained it is. The care at this center is what should be important and I would have liked to have known this in advance before letting this facility care for my father.

Beautiful Rehab, great staff, my husband was able to bring our schnauzer puppies to visit, therapists very professional, my husband was able to spend the night several times , all in all I would highly recommend and in fact have, a cousin has stayed there and several friends! I was there in 2013 for 4 weeks, with double knee replacement.

I stayed here at the recommendation of a few people that I knew who had been here in previous years. I had a nice experience. I enjoyed that I was able to chose what I wanted to eat off of the menu and that there were no set visiting hours for my visitors. I had recently had back surgery. All of the staff is very pleasant and attentive. The only thing I would change is having more activities. The live entertainment was very popular with other patients but that only happens a couple of times a week. I wish there was more to offer in regards to entertainment. I would recommend coming here again.

Remington Medical Resort was very good. It was a very nice place. My husband had gone to Remington, and I went over there to visit him. It was carpeted and clean. The people were cheerful, and it was bright. There was like four nurses to four rooms, and they were always sitting outside. If you need them, they come in right away. The food was really good. I could spend a night and bring my dog. It was perfect. We liked it, so I went to check it for my mother also, and it was still just as nice three or four years ago when I took my husband there. I would recommend this facility.

I was at Remington Medical Resort San Antonio in the past. It had the same price with the other facility and the rehabilitation was very good, so I chose them. The rooms were like a hospital room except they were very nice. They were of good size with one hospital bed and bathroom per room. There was also a medical chair. There were wood works up the ceiling that everyone liked. The staff were great. We had three meals a day and the food was exceptional. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus were excellent. The dining room was in the first floor and you could take your family and have lunch with them.

Very poor interpersonal care from nursing staff, no compassion or concern noted. Would not recommend! Most professional encounter by patient was with the houskeeper.
