Our experience with Regent Care Center Oakwell Farms is really good. The place is very clean and almost smelled clean. There's no trash on the ground and it's very well-manicured. I'm very satisfied with this community, I just hope it stays like it is.

Cockroaches!!! FIVE OF THEM OVER A SIX-DAY PERIOD. Also, the “nursing staff” has NOTHING—no meds, no gauze, no scissors. Twice the CNA (certified nurse’s assistant) asked my bedridden mother is she had a pen. Why would she have a pen? Also, we once timed the response from when the “call” button was pressed to when they came, and it was over an hour (good thing it wasn’t an emergency ). Lastly, I brought in OTC meds (since they didn’t have any) and they disappeared, along with her fave snacks (popcorn, pringles and mini cookies in a cup.) When we left, I asked for the OTC meds back, along with the food that disappeared. To no one’s surprise, they said they had no idea what I was talking about. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. P.S., I have pics and video of some of the roaches. Ugh.

The staff at Regent Care Center Oakwell Farms are proficient and kind. We feel that my mother-in-law's needs are being met there. She's in a one-bedroom unit and she has her own bathroom. It's nice. It's clean and looks really homey. They have a salon and a gym, as well as game nights and movie nights. There's just a couple of staff members that I don't agree with.

My friend was transferred to Regent from a hospital to continue recovering from Covid. It was a single room in the covid wing. There was no telephone service in the room. No water was available except a small styrofoam cup( no pitcher available). Except for meals, there seemed to be no oversight of the patients. There were no bathing facilities. No sponge baths either. She.went over two weeks without a bath. The patient’s vital signs were never taken(temperature, heart rate, etc). They ignored her complaints of chest pains. The nurses or care people had as little interaction with the patient as possible. No smiles. No greetings. They were determined that she be bedridden and not exercise. Only her determination made them let her use a walker to walk around. Her food had to be pureed due to swallowing problems. Therefore the normal food was pureed and poured on her plate including pureed lettuce wedge salad and pureed bread. Disgusting. Why not nutritious soups that would taste good. She lost weight that she couldn’t afford to lose. No supplements like Boost or Ensure were available. This facility is not a care center. It is a center for neglect and making money. This is my second interaction with them and I give them an F in every category except collecting their money.

My mother was sent her when she had covid. The nurse during the week were great! The weekend nurses need to be replaced. We took our mother home from regent with a six inch long and 3 inch wide bedsore. My mother was pushed or dropped while at regent and had to have major surgery, my mother was afraid of the weekend nurses and didn’t want to return to regent care after surgery. The administration here needs to look into the weekend staff performance . My mother’s health has declined significantly since she had her injury while in the care of regent oak well farms. I would not recommend this facility to anyone whose family member needs longterm care

Care is less than desirable. Only a handful of people cared about my father. The administration is horrible. Need to clean out most of staff and bring in compassionate caring staff who truly care for elderly. I will be reporting the care

My mother is currently in rehab and is a full assist. Poor overall care, understaffed and very poor communication with family members regarding the patients progress and plan. My mother was showered once in two weeks. I attempted to communicate with Physician and always ran into obstacles. It may have something to do with the Managed care Wellmed.

I have visited this facility multiple times and for the most part it is nice, clean and moderately staffed. It is not lacking in things to do, it has quite a few rooms for dining, sitting, socialization and exercise. The staff seemed nice although, I would say they were sometimes slow in responding to calls or the needs of not only my grandmother but of others I was in contact with. The rehab specialists that worked with my grandmother were kind, through and informative. The place was kept well lit, and had a pleasant feel to it. Sadly it was not altogether rid of the odd feel of a hospital or "old people" home. Besides the aesthetics the quality of care was good and, as i was told, the food was decent. The location was nice and easy to get to, and they were very accommodating of family staying and assisting with care since the injury was bad and memory problems had to be helped and dealt with.
