Our family was looking for such facility for a long time. We have talked to many representatives from many facilities. But unfortunately due to many reasons we didn't feel comfortable trusting our Grandmother rehabilitation process to them. She went through multiple surgeries and she required additional help and assistance. Normandy Terrace was very helpful especially in the beginning with setting up all the required doctors visits and transportation on time. It was really important, because it helped us follow Grandma's recovery. In addition, the facility itself provided medical personal, who were very helpful in between the doctors visits.Additional issue was our Grandma's eating habits. Instead of just ignoring the issue, the nurse and management raised and issue with the family. It helped us act on time and explain to our Grandmother that it was really important to intake the specified food.Overall experience was very much pleasant. The only issue is, that we hope that in future they will be able to provide bit bigger spaces for the family to stay over night.Other than that- great place and great people.

If I had a cat or a dog, I would leave it at Normandy Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. They have been grandfathered into the system, which means they're not up to go with anything that's current. On one side of the hallway that my father's in are all women, and the other side is all men. While we were there, one of them came in and laid in his bed, and I had to go say "Where are his clothes?" They said, "Well we keep them here behind the desk because they steal." I went in there, and when they're eating, there are roaches coming down on the walls waiting for you to drop the food down. I know there are people who can't afford anything else but that doesnt excuse them from running such a terrible place. There's not enough people to watch what's going on. There's feces all over the chairs and that's not right. There's only one lady on the whole floor and there's not even any mirrors for her to see what's going on so they can slip in and out of any room they want. We took a lot of my dad's things home because they were disappearing. There are different levels there but they're all stuck in the same area and it's not fair to them. They are put in areas they shouldn't be in. The staff is caring, and they're there because it's obvious that they like to do that kind of work. None of them were rude or harmful. They were just trying to do their job, but they didn't have what they needed and the equipment is old. The place has been there for way too long, and they do not meet any minimum standards. You also don't get what you pay for.
