My mom is living at this facility, and she is very happy. They have a new activity director, so she is always telling me about how much fun they have playing loteria and other stuff. They keep my moms room nice and clean every day, and I appreciate that. The building has changed so much over the years. It seems that the owners of the company really want to make it a nice place because of the changes they have made. My mom tells me that she enjoys the meals, and that she can request alternative choices if she prefers to eat something else. The area is really nice, and there is a good restaurant/bakery across the street where I purchase pastries for mom. Thank you Meridian Care Monte Vista!

if you care about your loved one, do not, AND I REPEAT DO NOT PLACE THEM IN THIS NURSING HOME. YOU ARE GOING TO ENCOUNTER UNEXPLAINED BRUISES, FRACTURES, UTI'S AND MUCH MORE . LYING AND COVERING UP BEGINNING WITH JOHN, THE ADMINISTRTOR OF THIS HORRIBLE PLACE DOWN TO THE OFFICE AND STAFF.

Mrs. Vickie head nurse and Mrs. Mitchell the Social worker greeted me my first night. I was there to ger antibiotic treatment for 6 weeks. The place is older. It does need a it upkeep. The Nurses were good, at times worked a lot. The patients are seniors. The room was tended daily by housekeeping. Food excellent. The saw to my needs, they are good.

I had been happy with this facility until the past 3-4 months over which time things have deteriorated significantly. I have waited 30-40 minutes for a response to the call button. Staff turnover has increased. The place always seems short handed, and many of the staff do not seem to enjoy working there. It has become difficult to get accurate information about my loved one. At this time, I would not recommend this faciity.

My mother spent her last days here. Administration was fine, but where it really counts, this place was sorely lacking. A majority of the nursing staff was mild mannered at best, save for one nurse who was very helpful and informative throughout the whole process. This facility had two (2) whole nurses working the entire floor at any given time, and it was very clear that they hated their jobs. The place reeked of urine. Many of the patients appeared depressed and forlorn. The upkeep of the facility itself was reminiscent of a one-star motel that you wouldn't even want your family to sleep in for one night. I cannot believe that this place was recommended to us via the hospital's social workers -- though none of us were afforded much time to conduct a more thorough search. The bottom line: you've been warned. Don't do it.
