My husband stayed at Meridian Care. The first day was perfect. The second day I got in there, my husband was sitting in the hallway in a wheelchair in front of the nurses, who were just sitting there like a bump on a log. They told me that he fled through the sliding doors, which they were supposed to be watching. The next day I went in, and they told me my husband is restless and wants to go home, so they're having a hard time with him at night. So we discussed hiring someone to come in and sit with him. But by the fourth or fifth day, they had never taken my husband off his bed. They took him for physical, occupational, and speech therapy for one hour each, but at the same time. We are not pleased with the care and services. They need to get more nurses and make sure they take care of all the patients during the day. I should not have to go there and ask for water or cold drinks for him, which should be by his bed, but nothing was there whatsoever. They kept him in bed for three days. The social worker was very nice to me. She helped me find hospice care within an hour or so of being told that he had to leave. The general area is clean.

NO OXYGEN in tank, soaking wet w pee that went down his pantlegs to his feet.Pee in wheel chair soaked thru pad, chair seat soaking wet from pee. This is at Crestway Meridian.Took about 30 mins to get someone to room to get him taken care of.

My father was a resident at Meridian Care. Our experience was stressful to say the least. My family found it be an extreme challenge to work with the facility staff when dealing with matters concerning my father's health. For more than one situation we contacted the head supervisor of the facility to help resolve the problem. Even after they were informed the concerns that we had they fail to provide us with the proper care for my father. If you or a loved one are referred to this facility seek a second opinion and check for other options for the best treatment.
