My dad is in Bridgemoor for rehab. It's very good. So far everybody is very happy, and everything's fine. One of their big selling points is they have very good food. They used chef-prepared food, but our father doesn't like the food; he doesn't eat much of the food. We're having a hard time inspiring him to eat the food that they have there. They do allow our sisters to sometimes bring in something homemade from home, like meatloaf or cookies. He has physical therapy, he stopped occupational therapy because he doesn't need that, he is able to groom himself, brush his teeth, and wash his face. He needs help showering, and getting in and out to the bed or shower. The outside of the building is fabulous, there's trees, it's a beautiful building, fairly new, it's clean, well staffed, and everybody seemed on the same page in doing everything we asked them to do for our dad.

Stay away from this facility. Within five days my husband was worse for lack of care. It is under staffed with skilled nurses (RN's) and is essentially run by nursing assistants who are basically gofers. Communication between the doctor/patient was sporadic. The nurse/doctor interface was minimal. The physical/occupational therapists tried, but were spread too thin to accomplish any true rehab. We felt like and were treated as if we were in a hospice facility. We were lied to by the health management agency about the every aspect of the facility. We were forced into Bridgemoor by Welmed when they refused to authorize the rehab facility of our choice that was within the United Health network. Equipment was old, beds rickety, food many times uneatable. I could go on and on.....Just please don't consider Bridgemoor - particularly if you are a Welmed/United Health patient.

I had a major back surgery. There were nurses who did not check my incisions. One specific nurse, Raquel, was unprofessional. She tended to call me "sweetie" and was generally late providing pain meds, which were to be administered every 4 hours, I would get about 5 hours and with the time for meds to ease pain, it was 6 hours in between. My pain was not managed well which caused poor sleep, muscle cramping, and more time to manage my pain. Her attitude was to tell me to " relax". The food, rooms, and therapies were as I expected.
beautiful but not good care

The patient left with bed sores. The assistants were never around. Always gathered in front together and laughing. Some of the nurses were excellent but not all of them. The patient was left with poop and it was dry when we got there. The doctor didn't even stay 5 minutes and always had the wrong information on the patient. He should at least review who he was visiting. I would never recommend this facility. The people at the front desk were excellent.
